Halloween Kills contains several different story elements that were repurposed from an unmade Halloween script that was written back in 1988. This is an in-depth breakdown of that script, which almost became the official Halloween 4.

With Halloween Kills releasing this month, we're going to take a look at the lost sequels of the Halloween franchise, otherwise known as the Halloween scripts that were never made. This particular story features the return for the characters of Dr. Sam Loomis (Donald Pleasence) and Sheriff Leigh Brackett (Charles Cyphers), and also features alternate universe versions of characters like Jamie Lloyd (Danielle Harris) and Rachel Carruthers (Ellie Cornell) who all face off against Michael Myers aka the Shape. This means that besides Jamie, John, and Karen, Laurie Strode has yet another forgotten timeline child who was targeted by her evil uncle in order to cut off the Myers bloodline.
This video details one of the last Halloween 4 scripts to be commissioned by Moustapha Akkad before the film was eventually made. Written by Shem Bitterman (who would go on to write an early draft for Halloween 5) this version sees a lot of similarities to the Halloween 4 that was eventually made. But it also features a lot of material that would go on to be used in Halloween 5, and even Halloween Kills, a full 33 years later!

@@Filthy_Larry Michael Myers has to get back home to Hadddonfield bopping his way thru Chicago's different gangs. The Cartels, The Mob MS-13, Latin kings . And because he's wearing a Blue jumpsuit the toughest level the Blood's. Or how about Michael vs Jason? Similar skill sets, and it's a race to see who cam claim the most souls before sunrise. Or how about if Pinhead and Co. Come to take over the earth and Michael has to fight them because sometimes evil has to be fought by a different kind of evil.....

@@stevejackson9952 i was thinking of giving Myers the Godzilla angle where he fights off a different evil and the people of Haddonfield including dr Loomis, cheer and support Michael in his quest. After his job is done, he walks off into the sunset as the people wish Myers a happy Halloween.

And the fact Jamie was suppose to beem mention in H20 by a student giving a thesis on what happened to Jamie and Laurie knows that's her daughter and she runs into the bathroom the next scene to throw up but production scrapped that and made Laurie and Jamie stories two different timelines.

I said back in 2018 I felt like I seen some rewrites, the gas station scene Halloween 4, the cops, Halloween 5, the bar mob Halloween 4 (kinda) Haddonfield Hospital Halloween II 1981, Michael being on fire or supposed to be Halloween II 1981 and I kinda want to say Halloween H20 when Laurie had the axe yelling MICHAEL at campus, the alternate ending for Halloween Kills was Laurie walking out the hospital with the knife pursuing Michael after she called Karen and heard Michael breathing on the line.

For me, the Michael Myers sequels will always be 4,5,6 primarily (for better and for worse) Essentially, the Jamie trilogy. I don't acknowledge the current retcon.

Hey Zack Cherry 🍒🍒🍒 I just stumbled on your channel via the Scream references. I love slashers too, that series especially. Have you read The Final Girl Support Group or My Heart Is A Chainsaw? There's some cool moments in thislol. Cool some parts was salvaged and use in later movies like the other unmade scripts or some of them I'm like these are good why not make the or neck now lol. This is my biggest dislike from the David Gordon green projects. I was really wishing they would come up with more original content and less throwbacks and nods. The opening scene was definitely a pleasant surprise though, in Kills.
