When you setup a board with rails next time try before putting on grip. Then put your rails on with drywall screws all the way through the board. Next take a hammer and snap the ends of the screw off on the top side of the board then proceed with the grip tape. I’ve done this a few setups in a row and my bones ribs have never fallen off or lost a screw.

I absolutely love the FA/Hockey boards. I had 4 decks that were 8.5 but I got tired of paying $70-$80 for them. Tried to find something similar so I found the Creature 8.6 decks and they have the steep, shovel kicks just like FA and Hockey which I really like. They're only $50 on NHS and $70 for the VX version of the same shape. Way better deal. But FA/Hockey are great decks nonetheless.

Super big noses on them, great concave. Have 8.6 Russell Horseman VX. VXs can’t be killed. Tail is a little too short.

I liked my 8.5 Hockey. Shorter tail and wheel base was real nice for the pop-a-lop-a-ding-dong. I have a set of Bones Filmer wheels that I use for my work transport deck. I got a flat spot on one of them not too long after starting to ride them and that sucker is still bouncing me around months later with no sign of wanting to disappear.

Welcome Darklord shape. I forced myself to ride the shape deck and have fun with it. Speaking of people saying "they are all the same". I went to a Zumiez so I can measure a deck in person before ordering and the guy asked me why I wanted to measure it. Asked me what dimensions I needed. I said I'm mainly worried about the wheel base... Proceeds to tell me the lengths are all the same 🤦‍♂️.

just to be honest you think pros use that NOPE! all the big time pro skaters like Nyja Huston Paul Rodriguez would laugh if they saw someone using those Rails on your board and for the record Street skating is where the Talent is not Bowl skating going in and out a bowl every 2 seconds just Garbo! Street skating is King!
@adu3830
@adu3830 Жыл бұрын
Personally I don't use rails, just because I never have I don't have anything against it. There are plenty of street skaters that use deck rails, look at Chris Roberts, Ducky uses them sometimes, Jason Adams, and plenty of other street skaters, just look at independent trucks "my Indys" series. I was honestly surprised. The last thing in the world I would want to be is like Nyjah Houston. He's a fantastic skater but also He's stuck up and a dick to people, kind of like you! Personally I never have really rode transition, mainly because I grew up extremely poor and there were zero free skateparks in the city so going out and finding spots in the city is how I skated. Without bowl skating though there would not be any street skating. I know people like you, you are a 14 year old that follows all the latest trends and your favorite tick tock skaters! You probably skate in dunks and ride a dragon ball z primitive deck with graphic griptape and venture lows (nothing wrong with ventures just an observation I've noticed). You like to rip on people who like anything different than what is fashionable at the moment. Possibly as an outlet stimming from your daddy running off and wanting nothing to do with you. There is no need to be a fucking asshole to this dude because of what he likes to skate. You want get very far in life with an attitude like that but it's never too late to change.

I like how big FA/Hockey noses are, but hate how steep they are. I can’t do nollie tricks with them. With rails, check out the Santa Cruz HSR rails. They’re low like pigs, but they’re a really dense plastic so they slide fast and last a long time. Also, have you ever tried sex bolts? You use them instead of wood screws. You drill all the way through the board and end up installing the rails kind of like hardware. It completely eliminates rail rattle and I think it would make it impossible for them to be pulled out.

Creature has a version of hsr rails now too. They’re about as tall as rib bones, but they’re serrated, so they make a cool sound when they hit the coping right. Rad railz makes some good steel ones. I’ve had other plastic ones that worked, but they’d break if you tightened them too much.
