Didn't see it mentioned in the video but the entire first half of the abyss is ventiable. First chamber has a lot of wolf pups that keep on spawing and getting sucked by Venti black hole. For the Pyro lector if you bring a hydro character you can infuse ventis ult with hydro to very quickly shreed the Pyro shield. Second chamber starts with 4 enemies very far aways from each other, by pre firing venti ult right as you press to start the chamber you can position the black hole right in the middle of the chamber sucking all the enemies. The second wave of husk start together but Venti can still cc all of them except the big one which stays in place so you just have to aim your ult at him. In the Last Chamber the hydro wave which messes up your cooldown is very annoying but you can after using Venti ult you can stay away from the enemies and wait for the the wave to trigger so you can get close again. For the dessert bird summoner (idk her name) just aim at her and the mirror maiden should get pulled by black hole and be grouped together. I'm a big Venti conosseur so I'm very happy to have a abyss where he is broken again. Anyways, great video as always, very excited for the Fontaine units pré release analises.

They increased the pyro lector's shield for this abyss, it is too big for mono geo to break it, normally yun jin's skill takes a big chunk out of it and with gorou + noelle hitting it would be enough. My best attempt took around 2 minutes, really need a hydro for this one.

this abyss allowed me to have a lot of fun with my teams, not the best abyss, but definitely a lot better then the other ones recently

This was the first Abyss that I've managed to 36 star. Very cool

The slowing water in chamber 3 pulses every 15 seconds, which you can sprint dodge or run away from. It's on the first side, so you can just use the timer.

I feel as though during the Mono Hydro section you should have mentioned that Hydro swirls don't do a 2nd instance of damage, only spread Hydro, making mono hydro even worse in AoE

I had the most fun on the first side with a "quirky" Wanderer team (Wanderer/Faruzan/Bennett/Xingqiu). Having to dash around and switch between Charged Attacks and Normal Attacks is just a very engaging gameplay. Xingqiu is super helpful there. My Nilou was the most ridiculous team on 1st side, just deleted everything withing seconds. Second side was just "random bullshit go" team with Raiden/Yelan/Kazuha/Zhongli Overall a good Abyss to calm down after 3.7 cycle and before new enemies in the 4.0 Fontaine Abyss.

If you’re using Kazuha in chanmber 12-2-1, I highly recommend using his E to group all the enemies including pyro slingers immediately when you start, even without swirling anything.

If the Fontaine leeks are true, then that's a new level of scum from Hoyo. Everyone has probably said this at one point but "why would you get new characters if you're old teams work just as good", I guess this is Hoyo solution to a problem they made. Of course people get characters because they find them fun, meta, etc but I would lying if I never asked that question. It's not the worse thing the world, we already have strong cores like Benny, XQ, Xiangling and you could just pop a Fontaine character in there(we get one for free), but lord if it's not the most scummy way of getting old players to roll for new characters(other than powercreep).

This was possibly me first abyss I cleared both sides with no team changes or needing retries. At least from what I remember. I might have started 12-1 and not clicked start and changed my mind on trying to do Nilou bloom instead of Salad like I did the first time which was a great idea. Second half was my pyro Keqing team. Keqing still has the electro for asimon. Its more of a problem with having enough stamina on the last boss to do CA's and how much more so it favors my aoe uptime over Keqing smacking them individually.

Man I wish I had known some of this stuff earlier, the grouping tips would have helped tremendously. Got my first 9 stars Floor 12 on this Abyss yesterday using Chongyun freeze team for first half and Alhaitham quickbloom on second half. 3.7 Abyss was my first to attempt floor 12 and man what a nightmare that was, couldn't even complete it much less 9 star. This Abyss is such a relief.

I've been playing since 3.2 and this is my first time 36 staring an abyss, it did take me good amount of tries but i didn't have to be stuck on it for hours like the past 2 that i was only able to 33 star regardless, i really hope fontaine doesn't mess everything up with the new mechanics

The hp on zajevs oven showcase 😭 The average player would probably not wanna go no healer burgeon for rifthounds (not implying that this is what Zajef recommends btw)

I tried raiden on first half but got way too frustrated with overload blasting enemies everywhere. Ended up giving up and switching to Ayato national, and it went swimmingly. Xiao teams can run yelan/xingqiu or any other on field hydro unit to deal with the pyro abyss lector, and otherwise is fine for top side. Xiao with Jean instead can work really well too.

This is the first Abyss where I finally managed to get all stars. Much easier than the previous ones.

Hu Tao/Xiangling curry works quite fine on 2nd half, just add Nahida, Xingqiu and Kuki and go ham.

Watching someone play abyss with a nice backing track and key clicks as the only sound is very satisfying

I think the reason why taser is less talked about now is that it’s slightly harder to slot a healer there without sacrificing damage compared to aggravate. There is Kokomi taser, and you can slot Kuki fairly fine in Ayato taser, but every other variation - including 4* only one - is usualy healerless. I mean, you can replace one of your electro units with Kuki, or your hydro with Barbara - but it comes at expense of your dps. Aggravate, in contrast, has an amazing 4* healer option that was free several versions ago - Yaoyao. So it’s way easier to build without sacrificing either comfort or that much of your dps output.

I used Noelle on first half. The trick to beating the husks on floor 12-2-1 is to have Venti, lol. They get grouped up so fast and stick together long enough for me to kill the pyro husk while simultaneously battering the others. They die real fast because my Venti is dps who does a lot of dmg and my Noelle has R5 Redhorn who bonks for 50k NA dmg without a Gorou.

best abyss for my Hyperburgeon team. just had to slot in more hydro apply for that pyro lector instead of nilou i went with tartag who can easily deal with that in 1 e,getting interupt resist from dehya and healing from kuki. aswell as overloads/vapes ontop of the burgeons/hyperblooms and nahidas e marks do wonderful dmg in aoe and single target.

For Xiao, I think you don't really want to use Zhongli against husks so I just used XQ for the pyro lector and his rain swords was more than enough mitigation when paired with bennet. It was a really easy Xiao abyss for me, though it did monopolise bennet+xingqiu both.

A new thing I learned from running mono pyro against Asimon, If you destroy the gears before he goes invisible, He actually gets stunned like how aggravate work

After such a long time I could finally 36* the abyss, the last few ones were SO DAMN CRINGE, this one was a breath of fresh air. My Ayaya freeze team got temporary relief from the depths of the basement.

FREEZELOY is back on the menu boys! This was a much more fun Abyss for sure. Also Benny Stonks fell spectacularly

20:34 Xiao has way higher Anemo elemental Gauge than Wanderer, So he actually applies more unit of anemo and you can also nornal attack, So he breaks shields much faster than wanderer

I literally quit the last Abyss, because they werent fun, especially those lectors. But this one was quite good. First Side just Raiden-Xiangling-Kazuha-Kokomi; Second Side: Nahida-XIngqiu-Yelan-Kuki worked fine for me.

My personal favorite teams to deal with this abyss were Kokomi taser first half + Rational or Kuki hyperbloom variants (both double hydro and Haitham quickbloom). My least favorite, but still clearable was probably Ganyu melt second side, which was PAIN AND SUFFERING AND NEVER AGAIN

Only thing I hate about this abbys is vishaps having their hitboxes around their back sides. It's impossible to hit both if you're not in a spesific pixel perfect spot

I really like Xiao for top half in this abyss. The very staggerable enemies make this a decent place to play Xiao without Zhongli, (especially if you have c6 Faruzan) meaning you can slot in a hydro character for shieldbreaking instead. I’m getting good results with Xiao/Bennett/Faruzan/Mona.

Funny enough I've been working on my Heizou and decided to run him with mono hydro (Yelan, XQ, Kokomi) for the first half and I actually had so much fun! And the clear time wasn't bad either!

With taser it's just, what if you replaced one of the electro units with a dendro unit? I feel like there are very few scenarios in which you regret switching from taser to hyperbloom.

When my Faruzan was C4, I beat the lector more quickly then the rifthounds with TTDS Barbara and Crit Sucrose in Xiao Faruzan team, Sucrose can swirl hydro from the rifthound to the lector, also fusing Sucrose Q with hydro is easy because Barbara hydro self apply, it breaks his shield pretty fast. When my Faruzan is C6, it's a bit harder to break the pyro shield because the rifthounds are killed too fast 😅so there's no hydro that can be swirled to the lector, but at least Barbara can be on-fielded

First half wants hydro. Bring a lot of hydro and you can also afford to use a shield. Second half wants electro. However, bringing dendro as well will make it even easier.

Hiii zajef so not really related to the video but I wrote a fankit for neuvillet based on some recent leaks so I hope u enjoy it Neuvillete - 5 stars Catalyst - Hydro Approximately 13,000 base HP Ascends with either hydro bonus, Crit rate or Crit DMG Normal Attacks: 4 attacks dealing Hydro damage based off Neuvillete's ATK Charged Attacks: Consumes stamina to deal Hydro damage Skill: Deals Hydro damage by violently striking the ground, thus activating the Greater Effluati effect. -A Hydro dragon emerges around you, spinning and dealing Hydro damage once every 1.5s (Similar to Pyronado). -Due to ICD, a reaction occurs every 3s. -Pressing the skill button again deactivates the effect and removes the dragon from the field. -Damage scales off HP, and it lasts for 15s with an 18s cooldown. The Hilichurl Rogue's will never group for me, doesn't seem to matter how I move. They'll just literally spam their ranged attacks or just stand still forever like some of the small fungi. It's so frustrating. A lot of clears would be massively simpler if they'd just run to me. Idk if C6 Faruzan is the answer. So I got her recently and decided to try my Wanderer out with her. Turns out, uh, with consistent attacking she will launch enemies in to the stratosphere. At least with the Rift Whelps. They were going above my screen while Wanderer was flying so I'd have half of them way high in the air and half on the ground not getting attacked, and Wanderer auto-aim is truly garbage. So this became a really bad clear time problem. Granted, I was going Tazer so the Electro-charged, plus his 1-2 CAs (Normal spam for Xingqiu and Beidou) and Faruzan is likely what kept launching them. Perhaps simply Xingqiu plus Yelan wouldn't be so bad, but then the AoE suffers a lot. My Wander is T10/10/8 with Lost Prayers and both he and Faruzan are highly invested so it's not like a dps issue. Maybe I just had to stop spamming NAs a bit, but that's so counter-intuitive. Or just believe in Double Anemo and Double Hydro.

It slightly bothered me for a while and it's time to point this out (right before the new Fontaine units): Hypercarry teams are not just for people that A only want to play one team or slight variations of it or B people with a lot of disposable income. Im a BP Welkin player, actually i stopped buying BPs a few months ago, and i've been playing for less than a year and a half, and yet i have all the limited 5* i ever wanted in the game (and even some i didnt want xD) and i even went for a few weapons, and i have a lot of limited 5*s. Venti, Kazuha, Raiden, Ayaka, Ayato, Yelan, Kokomi, Wanderer, Nahida, Alhaitham, Baizhu, Cyno and Zhongli. Im to a point where i have over 200 wishes saved waiting for something in the future i may like, and in my case going for C1/C2 on some characters (Nahida is my first target for this) feels more than reasonable. Every 5* i dont have i either dont want or i'd take other Cons over them, and i went for a lot of characters. I can easily imagine a player with Kazuha, Nahida, Yelan, Raiden, Nilou and Hu Tao being completely satisfied with these characters and pulling for C1 Hu Tao / Homa instead of pulling for another 5* that will take plenty of resin investment to work. I understand why Zajef used this "disclaimer" for hypercarry teams and i agree with the sentiment behind it, but i wanted to point this out :D

You talk about waste of characters in mono hydro. Why Is not the case in mono pyro?

Wanderer Hyper with Venti is very enjoyable in first half (note: I have C6 Faruzan) but it requires you to 3* chamber 1 with a diff team because Wanderer, Bennett, Faruzan, and Venti are NOT breaking the pyro shield in any reasonable timeframe. However I find chamber 1 to be the most tough anyway so targeting chamber 1 is a reasonable strat

I used Thundering Furry Razor for the 2nd half this season and got all stars :)

Cleared it with Hu Tao 2x hydro+ Zhongli on 1st side, and 3x dendro Alh spread + Miko, dint have much trouble. was fun little challenge for seeing who dies first, my team or hounds :D To bad for puppies, Hu Tao or anyone from that team died 0 times
