Hamilton is a no brainer for NOT being able to beat Verstappen under equal conditions. 2021 proved as much where Mercedes had the better car, Verstappen had all the bad luck and Hamilton stole a win by sending Verstappen into the wall. If everything had been fair in 2021 Hamilton would have not been close and even Hamilton fans know it if they would be honest.

Charles question is similar to Lando - does he have enough mental toughness. Max/Charle have better technical corners than Lando. Piastri needs a few years. I think Max is mentally tougher than Hamilton and Hamilton is showing his age and would not qualify as well as max. Alonso could compete with tactics offsetting qualifying . Charles could come close but Max would win for mental toughness. George has potential but pushes too hard and fails - he needs to grow up and he loses focus at critical moments. Max would win against any other 2025, with Alonso and Charles and Hamilton in order closest. 2026 and beyond - Charles and Piastri are the best bets, as Alonso and Hamilton decline in age and fire in their belly, and age/reaction diminishes qualifying, and Oscar and Charles get experience racing max. Either Zak was speaking without thinking or he was trying to get to Max/Horner or he was trying to motivate Lando. Most experts consider Max to have superior corner entry /exit skills and he clearly has higher confidence and experience - the better bet is Oscar. This makes me think he was trying to motivate Lando. Lando had good luck in winning his first race with safety car and RB bad setup and damage. Otherwise Max, Laclere, Checo, Piastria and Sainz would have been in front of him. This was a 3 for one - increase the confidence of Lando, increase the expectations on Piastri, and cause pressure on Max.

Zak’s quote about Max not winning in any other car isn’t controversial IMO. It’s difficult to say and too hypothetical. Who is driving the Red Bull? If it’s two Checo’s, Max wins the title in a McLaren or Ferrari. But we also don’t know how much those two teams will develop or how Lando or Charles would look in the Red Bull. Bit of a weird quote by Zak though, kind of insulting his own car/engineers.

Ah my favorite family feud duo😂 I read Mr Brawn's comments and went through the different stages of outrage, then a bit more clinical listening and then really taking in what he is saying. Technically he is not wrong. Lando is quick and can and should beat Max. Hell Max will be the first to admit to this. Same for Charles. As drivers when it comes to pure speed Max, Charles, Lando and even George are at the same level. But Max has gained his maturity and experience in an actual title fight and the man is made of titanium when it comes to pressure. In that sense the car doesn't matter. It is the mindset under pressure that matters. I'd like to see what they can do when they see that yellow nose in his rearview mirror because up until now each and every one of them cracked under that pressure. They all made mistakes eventually. On that note, having equal cars does not mean equal handling of the cars .It will come down to driving style and intelligent choices and to be honest Charles and Lando have been known for making poor choices and on occasion even Lewis. Max will have is off days but like in Miami he knows when not to fight and still bring in the points. Imola is going to be interesting because each and every one is going to try to usurp Max. Max to Mercedes still gives me the itch. It does not add up in my mind. It's like pouring Red Bull in a tea cup.

in terms of who can beat Max, Lando,George,Albon would need to be at their absolute best to even get a sniff,Max is someone who can be super fast and super consistent in every race bar one or two in a season since 2018, none of these guys have ever done that, Charles is the only equal to Max in terms of absolute pace but i think Max's race management over different races and track conditions has always been better in any category they can be compared, but if Charles works on that he can definitely beat max but it would be extreme difficulty. Only lewis and not even Alonso has the necessary attributes to beat max and i am talking about 2014-2019 lewis

The issue with beating Max is Max is the best or very close to the best concerning every aspect of driving. Let's take in the wet for example. If you rate every driver based off the following: - one lap pace - fuel pace - tire management - awareness/race management - wheel to wheel racing - in the wet - under pressure - hero laps - absolute must win mentality If you look at the following and look at the last 10 years and you will see Max Verstappen highlights of all of these lol. That's the problem for everyone else

I think any of the top 5 drivers can bring it to Max. What nobody is talking about is the difference of driving when your racing 1 second a lap faster than anyone else compared to driving in a machine that's similar to everyone else. Take Charles as an example. He is constantly on the limit causing him to make more mistakes than Max. Wheres as if you put Max up against it, his driving style will be more erratic. 2021 as an example was pure banger racing and driving cars offline. However in today he has much more class because he has the machinery to do so.

I think most likely drivers to beat Max with a competitive car and team are Lewis and Alonso just because they've done it before and we know they can handle the pressure. Out of the other drivers I think Leclerc, Russel, maybe Norris. I also think Piastri has potential

This conversation needs to take into account the present stature and maturity over time... You can't judge anyone by what they have not done Chez that's mad!!!! judge based on what is evident. Just looking at last season and this season, Lando has made mistakes that he himself keeps beating himself up for. Where talent is undeniable, it comes down to who make fewest mistakes and who copes well with pressure...the number of times Lando has made mistakes on the grid this year and the year before...Max is not only fast, he is consistent, he is very adaptable, drives well in the wet, much more mature and preserves tires.....Also Zak talks too much noise and gaslighting. He loves to be at the center of the universe. Lando himself turned down the opportunity at Redbull....Lando said it himself, no one beats Max in the Redbull.

If equal machinery means going to Red Bull with Max in the other car, then the answer is simple: nobody. Charles will probably get closest and the rest will get their complete operation run into the ground. If you take the premise of the remark (6 or 7 drivers could become WDC in RB20), implicitly meaning no Max I would still doubt those 6 or 7. The RB20 seems easier to drive, so perhaps. If you'd talk about the RB19 however, then only Charles might be able to take it all the way seeing how nervous that car was. And finally who can beat Max in equal machinery that is NOT a Red Bull car: Charles, Lewis...and that's pretty much it. Lewis has proven it, but I don't think he'll be able today. Charles is the only one with the raw talent and the similarities in driving that can take on Max. In the end...any error made by your competition will effectively roll out the Red carpet for Max, since he don't make no mistakes. George (Singapore, Canada and more), Lando (real pressure and he's a goner) are a no for me. Oscar perhaps in time. And even Fernando does things that Max will expose. Nobody is beating Max in equal machinery. I currently have the rankings as 2) Lando 3) Charles. Those two would put up the best fight, but are ultimately flawed. Great drivers, but Max is arguably unprecedented. Lando makes his little quali errors and is still a weak character IMO. Too emotional. Charles, aside from his errors, will be slower than Carlos on too many occasions. IDK exactly the cause, but he doesn’t have the adaptability of a Max.
