Was a slave, promoted to max level, was shamed to level 0 and went insane, and then became a leader then was killed. What a ride, what a life.

The real tragedy here is he spent his whole sane life trying to rise past his station and make people see him as more than a slave, and after you shamed him to oblivion he lost all sense and hit rock bottom, from there he had nowhere to go but up and he went straight to the top, only his mind had long since left him and he can’t even enjoy the fact that he had finally changed his stars.

Imagine being a lower than dirt pleb tier orc, and the Legendary wraith that has slain thousands upon thousands of orcs in the most brutal ways to the point where everywhere he goes in Mordor there's literally a trail of Orc bodies along his path, and he lands in front of you. And you grab the nearest thing you can, a floppy branch on the ground and immediately kill him with it.

That speech he gave before the seige was truly awe-inspiring and motivational. No one can compare.

It's crazy the game has mechanics like that and it almost makes me feel bad for the guy that we mentally crushed him but at the same time I just hear a broken ambulance and can't stop laughing.

While in Seregost I had an Olog Captain (don’t remember his name, it’s not important anyways), I really liked him, I don’t know if it was because he was strong, he looked cool, or if I just generally love the Ologs in this game. A little bit later I’m fighting some orc captain trying to dominate him, then out of nowhere a random orc grunt kills me with a spear. This Orc then becomes Khrosh the gambler. As he’s promoted, Khrosh decides to take the place of the Olog I liked. He succeeded. After that I decided it would be my mission to punish Khrosh for killing my Olog friend. But killing him would be too quick and painless, so I decided to shame him to level 1. It was relatively easy, he wasn’t an incredibly strong orc, I think he was common. However, once he reached level 1 he became deranged, and he would only say that I gave him no chance and that it wasn’t very fair giving someone no chance. After this I began to feel bad for him, so I decided to recruit him, and make him my bodyguard. He has since saved me many times and helped me succeed on many missions, he is my favorite orc in Seregost, all he needed was a chance.

Imagine how much fun this rival system would be in a game like Pokémon. Where instead of having one rival, your given a set of 6-8, where you meet them at random points, they battle you, if they beat they gloat about it, if you beat them, they come back next time with a team that will do better against the team you beat them with.

It takes a sick kind of person to do this to literally the lowest rung in all of Mordor

I'm not the kind who goes around and plays with game mechanics my first playthrough, so keep in mind that this is the whole story about that stolen victory. I don't remember the context of who they were, but I was fleeing from the site of a rather large battle against an olog and a hunter Uruk. I had spent everything my "Just arrived in Nuren" ass during the fight, practically clearing out an entire outpost (If not for their crazy spawn rate) and i was passing just outside the outer parameter, just past a tower when this little shit comes out of right field and smacks me with a stick. This stick was the last needed blow to drop me to my knee for the last time, allowing him to crack my head in. He then became Tugog the Slave, who bragged about how he ascended to warriorhood from a slave, and how if he could do it anyone could, all the while he's running drills. This engagement goes on, fighting around one of the large temple like structures in the fort but eventually his traits get the better of me and he slays me. From there Tugog the Slave became Tugog the Duelist, wearing the Uruk equivalent of Bruz's armor and the next time I found him, he was challenging some Olog in the arena, so I thought, "Oh, well this will be interesting." and so I watched, and once Tugog had smashed the Olog's head in, I jumped down, stabbing him in the shoulder and managing to beat him at this juncture. I should have killed him, but I was impressed so I decided to brand him, but I needed to shame him to do so. I decided to hunt him down across the map to brand him once more, this time actually having the level advantage to do so, but due to a number of betrayals, and a blood brother showing up during this fight, I was defeated when me and Tugog were the last two combatants, getting hit from behind with a spear and immediately smacked with THE SAME BLOODY STICK this all started with, equaling the level cap. The next time I saw Tugog, he had become Tugog the Legendary, which had bothered me a little because one of the first captains I had fought, and the first Legendary I had fought, but I figured he earned it for this saga of epicness, so I went to brand him once more, succeeding in the effort. However, he picked up a blood brother without my knowledge, who was killed..... and thus he came forth with a fury to betray me and cut me down, which he did once more, thus breaking the bonds that united us, and which I responded to by branding him once more. This was the final straw for him, as he became Tugog The Unshamed from this act, dedicating himself to the brand and the honor it gave him for this epic series of battles. We engaged 3 more times, and those first 2 times he had adapted to the fight to the point where I had no options but to throw daggers to be able to hit this dodger. On the third fight, Tugog the Unshamed had earned himself the right to be warchief, filling a gap left by some nobody I only vaguely remember being a caragor riding defender, so I had to kill 10 slaves to destabilize his work force and he comes out declaring how he'd fight to the death for his slaves, and how they could one day become the overlord like he was going to because he had the power bestowed upon him by the brand. This would prove his last battle in his true glory, as we met on what makes up the B cap when invading, and as we fought I was able to drop him to his knee, and during the ending struggle I took off his arm and leg before pinning him to the ground via the spine, after finding out he has an iron will. The game progressed, and a hundred battles had come and gone, and I thought back to how this one slave had left such an impressive mark on me when nobody else had been able to even beat me that far. However, Then I fought Zog the Necromancer in his last mission in Minas Morgul, and i saw he was reclaiming bodies of the fallen captains from the start of the game, and for the most part, besides a couple of other just as worthy rivals I had, most of the captains were nobodies that were only remotely memorable as someone who got an early cheap shot in and was slain immediately after doing so, but then I saw my 2nd rival, Hoglik the Ruined, someone who survived every way I could have killed him, even a head explosion, before killing him and I thought oh hell no. The heat was to hot there, so I shadow striked to the next captain.... and found Tugog. Because of the sheer number of captains and mass, even undead as they were, I was in no position to put anyone down again, so I fled and he fell when Zog did, but that come back was just too impressive to see him come from the beginning to the end of his story.

That olog in that back at 2:26 was booking it

I wish more games picked up the Nemesis system. I was truly amazed by it when I first played Shadow of Mordor, back then it was truly a next gen experience.

I love how he went from nothing to max, then you took him all the way down to 1, then you let him kill you and he shot from Level 1 all the way back to Level 57 and immediately auto-dueled and became overlord ... then you took him down again. Epic.

It's fascinating, how he was able to hold up until lvl 1 before becoming deranged. I got the feeling, that every time I see a nice Ork i want for my collection but that has a too high level for me to recruit him, they become deranged the first time I dare to shame them. And then I loose interest in them :D
