Pretty sure that would go against the whole making him his monster if the dude has his whole family to love. Killing them is what turned him into that monster. The real reason Ares is dumb is cause he could of not told Kratos he did it on purpose. Kratos would of just blamed himself forever

Ares was right if you think about it, Kratos literally became death itself being able to kill anything in his path. All because his wife and child died by his own hands, it just didn't work the way Ares expected

I’ll never forget the anger I received from this game. After playing multiple days & nights as soon as I start walking up the stairs to see ares for the final battle it started to load & that was that🤦🏾‍♂️ never got to finish the game. I restarted it and all & it would take me to the point before I went up the stairs the freeze at the stairs again

Watching this scenes brings a whole new perspective when these words ring out in the back. And even the contrast between Ares- who made Kratos a killing machine with no emotions, and Týr- a benevolent God who just wants to help. Absolutely beautiful. Whoever says that the new direction God of War went in is absolutely incorrect. This IS the path Kratos was to travel all along.
