Aye, I tried out a version of god slaying sword for myself, though i've not uploaded it because I didn't think the effect was as significant as it is on this track.

@@rex_yaldabaoth Fair enough, I personally was a bit miffed by having barely any treble in DE so I suppose I noticed it more than most lol. Regardless, good stuff.

I mean, i've always felt that each part of his body (especially in phase 2) is meant to represent part of the world that he created. The right hand, the Bionis (with less grass), the left hand, the Mechonis, and then the lower body resembling the telethia. Has the corresponding monado in their representative hands too.

Oh I mean, I'm sure there's plenty that could be done to tidy this up. The most editing I did is cut one version (because the DE version looped for longer) to be the same length as the other, and use audacity to put in the fade out. And like, lining the tracks up.

Yeah, i've generally found when trying to make mixes like these the real issue is the doubled up percussion, it just kinda... overtakes everything else, and is really hard to sync up (due to like, natural minute variations in like, human playing). But I'd have no idea how to filter it out or edit it or whatever without having the individual instrument sections separated. Some kind of low or high pass filter might do it but that's getting a bit beyond my skills of just fuckin around in audacity.

@@rex_yaldabaoth perhaps a better approach would be to take just one version as a base and selectively add in elements from the other, whether by taking from it or by recreating the bits from scratch. Or more rudimentarily just dynamic volume mixing/splicing through the song. But that's always easier said than done, isn't it? 😅

Probably, but some of them get awkward. For example, Agniratha day, the intro of the piece is full of pauses, which means you just can't overlay them, as they don't fit rhythmically (trust me, I tried) and the rest barely sounds any different. And stuff like sword valley night and refugee camp have differing tempos from the originals that I didn't quite figure out.
