The guys who couldn't dodge it were people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The song speaks about that. They are talking about how they are not military material. It's just not in them. But they got drafted, and the privileged dodged it.

I've been listening to these guys since I was a kid. The first piece of music I bought was for my 13th birthday and It was Bruce Springsteen - Born in the U.S.A. And John Fogerty - my brothers played his music all the time when I was around the age of 5 and I've been listening to you ever since. Epic!

His voice is still pure and clear. I like that he walked on stage and plugged in is guitar to the amplifier himself. The act speaks to his commitment to his craft as a singer and song writer. There will never be songs written like that ever again. John fogerty is a voice of his generation.

Just saw John Monday night in a tiny, middle of nowhere city in Canada & he was amazing! He rocked the arena and had people up dancing and singing all night.He couldn't have put on a better show.
