They said that you can redeem Zariel if you make the certain choices during the module. My first thought was Oath of Redemption for the win.

So glad we're beyond the "satanic panic". Devils and demons of DnD lore are so rich and complex, and seems like such a neat space to explore through roleplay. Great video!

The Satanic Panic was ridiculous. Those religious nuts need to calm down. They are the fun police and they are violating the religious rights of others. I would much rather indulge in D&D or any other kind of fantasy. It is a lot of fun, and it is totally harmless. Besides, D&D has lots of good and heavenly realms. So that should cancel out the evil realms. I am too young to remember the Satanic Panic first hand. However I was shocked and appalled at what happened. I hope it stays in the past and not makes a return in the future. PS I would also like to indulge in any rock and roll I want while I am at it. My favorite band is the Beatles. It had a bad religious controversy in 1966. However it is overall a very harmless and fun band.

dnd makes it clear that devils and demons are evil you can use them if you want to have scary games. A story needs conflict to progress & having extremely evil villains can motivate players to try to fight back.

Asmodeus is very likely lying about his past as a Solar, and is something far older.

Alright, im definitely making a tiefling warlock character whose patron is Zariel. They are a tiefling because their bloodline is cursed from the moment she signed the contract with asmodeus.

Plot twist: Great-great grandpa was one of the mortals that ran into Avernus with Zariel when she was an angel.

I love Devils and Demons, I love Chaos Vs Law with any means necessary which screams Evil, Tension, Secret motives, betrayal, Loss and most importantly Survival of the fittest , which is an aspect that makes dnd really fun in my opinion!!

I would like to thank you for this lore. I am actually trying make a devil cult that worships Zariel. Now the thing about this cult is that it's not a normal one, far from it. Up north in my campaign's setting there is a large land of ice, snow, and dead trees. This land is called the frozen graveyard and in it are thousands of demon cults. The cult of Zariel wishes to destroy these demon worshipers by using a host as an avatar body. All I was missing was a little bit of lore about how Zariel acts like. So now I know, thank you once again.

Looking through various wikis, it seems she only ruled Avernus in first edition, it afterwards being Zariel, then Bel, then Zariel again.

To whom it may concern, I think it's pronounced with the pressure on the initial half of A-vernus. Baator might also be pronounced like BAR-tor, not sure on that one (or Avernus for that matter). Damn I miss the Soul Reaver games :D neat inspiration for a post-death D&D campaign, for sure.

The Blood War was one of the lamest meta-plots ever. Amazing that it still survives, but we never used it anyhow. All the evil planes are just one big Infernus for us.
