The Mags are CSSPEC mags out of Florida. He makes many AK type mags for many calibers, and as for the 308, he is saving the AK rifle from being completely forgotten.

I just picked up mine two weeks ago from my local FFL dealer, freaking awesomeness! I love it. My second Zastava.

I will get a M77 for sure, I've enjoyed my Zastava M90 for a little over a year with well over 5,000 rounds fired and it has been excellent.

Tfb was at zastava and they were talking about importing a civilian m21 in 5.56 to the U.S. market. I sure hope they do because I love my m85 pistols.

I got one of these for $1500 and it took me a month to find a scope mount for it. I have had mine since August. I have put 200 rounds through it with no problems. Kicks more than my HK91. It’s a great rifle. They take all Zastava furniture. It’s worth buying one

I bought one of the m77s imported by century. I reconfigure the slant receiver by carefully welding a piece of steel to return it to a flat back. I installed a wood stock and handguard from an M70 and it turned out to be quite nice. I got a pic if anyone is interested in seeing it. I sold it a few years ago for way less than I should have. The buyer actually called me back to thank me. Apparently he really liked it.

I do have a few of the original imports from Mitchell Arms in 7.62x51. As I researched they made them in this caliber to compete on the market with the FN’s and H&K’s in 308. However they never really kicked off. But it was great for us. Mine have the, “now dead”, tritium flip up sights. Thank you for the video!

I brought my New M77 home about a month ago. Like a few others here one of my first thoughts was what to do with the buttstock. I even went so far as to order some wood for it, which arrived a couple of weeks ago. Those thoughts vanished as soon as I added a scope to it (using the Zastava scope mount). I like the Zastava scope mount since it keeps the 1913 rail very very low above the receiver dust cover, meaning it also allows me to mount the scope nice and low. Now I don't care what the buttstock looks like because the adjustable comb and adjustable length of pull puts my cheek exactly where it needs to be for perfect cheek weld and eye alignment with the scope. The original M77 buttstock stays until something much better comes along, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. For me everything about the M77 is functional and that's what counts. It's also nice that Zastava are selling 10 round magazines for the M77. Perfect for shooting from a bench rest position. The buttstock also has four QD sling mount points and a single sling slot for those that can't make up their mind. The only thing I have changed so far (besides adding a scope) was to add a flash suppressor and get rid of the oversized "Tango Down" pistol grip in favor of an original black plastic Yugo grip (fits my hand better). Like I said, functional is what counts.

I have an older one with the slant receiver which I bought new for $550 from cheaper than dirt 14 years ago. I installed an adapter to the slant receiver which allowed me to add a buffer tube and an AR style stock. This rifle rocks.

My brothers both got versions of the Springfield M1A. I was gonna get an AR10-style rifle but I think I might go with this M77 instead.

I just got an M-77, and I love it so far. Only have had it for a day, put 250 rounds through it after sighting it in. It's accurate, and I've had zero issues, but I haven't run it hard yet.

Zastava has said they shoot and zero every rifle at the factory. From my sample size of 2, I believe them. Both of my rifles were dead on right out of the box. I am 100% going to get one of these. I just don't know when. My list of must have guns keeps evolving and getting longer.

I picked one up a couple months ago, been nothing but fantastic. Threw a low mounted 1-6 on it and make hits to 550yd consistently. Great battle rifle/DMR option. Very lightweight for what it is as well. Even with the scope, mount and SLR handguard. Still only about 13 lbs

One of these with a sr25 mag well and a last round bolt hold open would be my ideal. Maybe also cut down the barrel to an 18 or 16 inch length. I just bought one of the new Galil ace SAR 13" 556 rock and locks, but before seeing that I wanted to get a Galil ace in .308. I hear that they shoot smooth for the caliber. But even though they use the SR25 magazines, they don't have a lrbho. I really like the quality of Zastava and you can't beat them on pricing for that quality.

I’ve been fondling one of these for the past few weeks, trying to find a reason to justify it. I like everything about it, except that rear stock. There has to be something a little more appropriate that can go on there. It’s better than the import style thumbhole stock, but less than completely satisfying.

Straight out of the box a nice rifle. My saiga 308 was a pain to convert. But it’s Russian and that ain’t coming back

Personally that front handguard is both not modern enough, and too much of a pain to remove and replace for my liking. I eventually, through blood and sweat, installed a quad rail, and this thing looks like it could steal 3200 wives per second.

You think the m77 will hold up over time? The m70 is a well built AK, but I’m curious how 308 will hold up over time with the extra beating it puts on the receiver and trunnions

I never really liked the M-90 because it was so long and heavy for a .556 dmr ( For some reason I couldn't help but think i would rather be shooting a 20' M16 variant.) I am an AK guy so I guess that rifle just wasn't for me. That said -This rifle looks like it might be my cup of tea. I like the caliber and I want to try it now.

My only gripe with these is that by moving the side rail back, they make using M76 scopes impossible.
