If they tied glider degradation to the size of Link’s battery, it would solve the problem of allowing it to be useful in end game builds while not being too OP early on.

really wish they would have made the glider without degradation. Not sure if they thought permanent flight would be too powerful but we just made the hover bike instead.

@@TsarBomba69420 Fans do despawn after 30 mins. Edit: Refer to the TOTK data dump as many zonai devices have around 30 mins of time until they despawn. (Only IF powered on!)

I really hate that they despawn. Because the glider with fans atop and a control stick actually makes a really smooth flight. It doesn't have as much vertical lift as a hover bike, but it is really good for traversal over land. But as it is, its worthless because of the gliders despawning. Same thing with the hot air balloons. Just let people use these tools.

@@darudesandstormer8826 I used fans for hours and they haven't at all. Even used cheats to make battery infinite to test the whole fan despawn thing and yeah several hours later and no despawn/breaks at all.

For all the people building unicycles In the snow area around the GF there are two kinds of trees, the larger and thicker trees make logs as long or longer as palm trees but an even diameter.

the players stopping for 5 hours to make an ineffectual robot less effective then swinging a sword aren't exactly working with a full map of materials. you can see this if you look at the compilation videos week by week, when a new shrine smuggle item will be "discovered" en masse and show up in a bunch of the following week's builds

Metal is heavy and requires more Zonai tech to lift. That also means it costs more power to run them. Wood may be more destructible, but it's lighter, easier to move, and more readily available.

@@Dragonpit Sure, but a lot of these designs could handle the extra weight no problem. Wood IS handy for some lighter builds though, dont get me wrong.

I thought about that after watching Austin John Plays' recent flying machine video and tried swapping the board he used with a square metal grate. Ran into the same weight problem Dragonpit mentions.

When shield surfing in the depths, MAKE SURE you start it while outside the gloom. If you start shield surfing while already in the gloom, it will still take away hearts.

I haven't tried it yet, but a friend of mine said he made a big clump of apples all glued together and kept it as an autobuild, so that whenever he comes upon a bunch of apples, he can whip out the autobuild and it will pick all of them for him, like magic..

Yup. Bonus tip: put some golden apples in the autobuild as well. I do 15 regular apples and 5 golden ones, iirc.

I get the feeling that player-built death robots are going to be called "Roombas" going forward... On a semi-related note: I'm working on a Roomba design I call "The Can", its purpose is to give Link a safe place to crawl into while still turning Bokoblins into mulch.

I played around with adding a homing cart drone to my depths car but found it more effective to just add more beams and cannons to the car itself. I do still like the idea of carrying a couple of drones around to deploy at enemy camps

I've been trying to make a BattleTech catapult mech that's operational, and it's proving a little hard to make any sort of drivable legs. I have made a self driving version though with the cart. it's neat.

10:00 I did that (not in the depths), except I made a roomba with a fire, frost and shock emitter attached to 3 construct heads with one of the yiga spiked shield things at the front. I call it the "king gleeok 300".

While I know what boss fight is ahead of me in the final boss, I'm glad that the devs included that mechanic to deflect the Gloom fires (idk what to call them) with the Master Sword. Definitely using that tactic when I get there if I remember to do so.

Man I’m stupid. Here I was thinking the Korok space program was using live koroks specifically so if they died, they wouldn’t die like the rest and would go out with either: a bang, or in the name of science. I didn’t realize that some koroks weren’t guilty and therefore we needed crash dummies for them. Good thing I’ve been waiting to participate. 7:32 He was just a cartoon character, doing cartoon character things. 8:11 you could also use ultrahand to pick them all and stick them together (this gets better) and then maybe add a few if you did it with a small forest, then next time use Autobuild to collect them all, then just grab it all. 9:44 could it be faster with zonai shields to increase usage?

Spoiler maybe? Mineru is great for collecting items and mining since her bare fist count as an unbreakable blunt weapon plus she's immune to gloom and blocks the other sages from activating their abilities at the wrong time like Tulins wind

Yeah, I see Mineru’s construct as much more of a utility platform than a combatant (especially after she froze me with the Frost Emitter no less than twice in the same play session). Need to break some ore? Give her a Boulder or Rock to make a Hammer. Cut down some trees? Try an axe head. Wall of rocks? Sounds like you need a cannon.

I love your videos and your Zelda series and I'm so happy I learned about the ice meat in the other video. I made improvements to the hover bike that and I love it so much! I wish I was set up to submit a video but I used the medium meat I think sirloin on its side and at an angle on the front like a ski. So full throttle forward you glide on the ground and pull back to fly but slower or straight up if pull all the way.

Also I don't see people doing this in builds yet so I hope it helps someone. You can throw zonite caps and they stay a usable sphere! They are great for little joint things. But specifically for the bike, they don't way terribly and I used 2 on the back fan as a stabilize landing gear so the bike stays upright. I hope it helps someone!
