According to Russian claims, its forces have successfully eliminated two U.S.-made Patriot surface-to-air missile systems using Iskander missiles. Additionally, the Russian government stated that their forces destroyed a Giraffe radar station during the strikes. The incident reportedly occurred on July 7 near Yuzhnoye in the Odessa region of Ukraine. On July 6, Russia declared complete control over the strategic village of Sokil in Donetsk. If it's materially accurate, then early/mid generation Patriot batteries without the AN/MPQ-65A GaN Phase array radars & top up with SM3s & early/mid generation Gems are mayhaps somewhat leaky or maybe even not very effective in interdicting Russian Iskandar ballastic missiles. Or maybe 1 or 2 of those said batteries had its primary Radar down from too long sustained operational MTBF issues or it was caught on the move or redployment or they were simply out of SM3s or SM2 Gems? I really do not know how effective mid gen Patriots with SM3s or early/mid gen SM2 Gems are, insufficent info to come to a conclusion. However it's suggestive, that early/mid gen Patriot batteries might be somewhat less effective against at least Iskandar ballastic missiles, not a defintive by any means. 🙂

@@arnavsharma9092 ukraine still has an airforce, you know. russia hasn't even achieved air superiority. russia has to drop glide bombs from its own territory bc too scared of being shot down, many of the bombs malfunction and explode in russian cities and towns. russian air defences are currently being worked on and destroyed. watch denys davydov channel for updates. ukrainian pilots say the f-16s are far superior to russian planes. if nato wants to end the war quickly, they need only give ukraine thousands of f-16s and hundreds of f-35s. russia is no match. even the us state of texas could beat it. we overestimated russia, and so did putin.

Apart from the milliards of Dollars/Euro's that we, the Europeans, had to pay for pumping Ukraïne full of western weaponry since 2014, we (the EU taxpayers) now also have to pay for the new milliards of Dollars/Euro's, pumped into it since feb. 2022. It raises our cost of living in the EU very much, we have to do with serious inflation here. Energy costs (no Russian gas any longer, since 2022) has raised so high that many people cannot pay their energy bills any longer. Apart from that: the war realizes an enormous inflation in general. Reason: the idea's of the EU politicians (Macron, Rutte, Sunak) that brought us into that dire state. It has to stop ASAP, so the EU has to push on negotiations. If not, it will damage our EU economies more. 7 July 2024.

Europe give money to Ukraine only from 2022 , not from 2014. Europe give per year only 8 billion dollars more for gas than was russian gas , that is very little money for powerful Europe and you dont make your enemy more poverful.
