So how did Russia intercept the Storm Shadow? When discussing the interception of Storm Shadow missiles by Russian forces, it is essential to acknowledge the exceptional radar systems employed by Russia. These state-of-the-art systems are widely recognized as some of the best in the world, and their remarkable effectiveness in detecting and intercepting Storm Shadow missiles cannot be overlooked. Russia has additionally advanced its over-the-horizon or OTH radar systems. These systems have the capacity to provide early warnings of missile attacks from thousands of miles away, further raising the difficulty level for a Storm Shadow missile to evade detection. It can be said that the effectiveness of Russia's Storm Shadow missile interception largely depends on their advanced warning systems, which play a critical role in timely detection of incoming missiles. These systems are instrumental in providing early alerts, allowing Russian defense systems to respond promptly and effectively.

Underestimated to the extreme and i primarily blame the British establishment for that. Through their outfit Bellingcat, they are able to spread blatant lies and propaganda how supposedly the Russian are losing the war, using shovels etc. They were also instrumental in staging the "Bucha massacre" propaganda last year where you can clearly see the laid out bodies on the street were manipulated and moved into place, some of which were alive crisis actors clearly moving in the footage. They have in the past staged similar provocation events like "Barrel bombs" in Syria, "Skripal poisoning" back home etc. The Brits have a declining military, their entire armed forces can easily fit in a football stadium, however they are the masters at propaganda and dissemination of disinformation.

That is very very true for allot of things, in paper in theory everything is perfect but in practice things get even more nonlinear, disturbances, noises and system limitations and many more stuff limits the capabilities. Interestingly The Russian scientists were the founder of nonlinear system control, the Lyapunov theory by M.Lyapunov at 1918, the Sliding mode control yet by another Russian scientist but due to lack of fast switches this technic was not popular enough and only became allot popular in recent years. So it is not by accident that Russian are good at missile technology, they were the founders of nonlinear system controls, especially the very very strong theory of Lyapunov which is worldwide used in many many application both by Europe and US! I study control engineering , even in Germany we still study these Russian invented great methods.

I have never heard any argument underestimating Russian capabilities, so I don't understand your claim that we _"occidental understimate_ Russia". But I have heard lots of arguments overestimating Russian capabilities. Hence, why at the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War last year in February, it was widely predicted Russia would easily overrun the entirety the country of Ukraine by the end of March 2022. Russia flopped badly, it was so bad that the first couple of month, Russia was the main supplier of armored vehicles & weapons to Ukraine. It would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic. Russian weapons are good, there was never any doubt about that. The US & NATO received samples from the war collected by Ukraine to confirm it. The problem is the troop training of the Russian troops. And Putin underestimated the Ukraine's army to the detriment of his troops, that's why he's going to have two years unable to complete his 'special operation& is denied any form of victory. Putin's fatal error to have badly underestimated the Ukraine army. Hence, why Putin has ordered his generals to punish directly the Ukraine population.

@@OverlordShamalamy friend Russia could have finished the war in few days if it wasn't for Nato countries 66 in numbers started giving weapons Worth of billions to Ukraine so that Ukraine can win the war but Ukraine failed to win the war despite being given billion of dollars worth of weapons. Secondly if it was American against 66 countries American could have fallen by now. Remember what happened in Vietnam USA lost hundred of thousands of soldiers. In Iraq USA had to call for help from Britain and Australia to help defeat Iraq own its own was going to fail. It's only Russia that can manage to contain 66 countries at a go. @@MrFairness1 Dear friend, this is the first time I've heard that we "always considered _understiate_ Russian technology. And it's coming from you. Maybe you are talking about the Russian surface navy, which is not to par with western standards, that may be true. Considering their only aircraft carrier have experience mechanical failure. But it's submarine force is a whole different thing. Or is it the Russian T-75, which is not up to standard with modern tanks. But the T75 is still a formidable tank, but I think you are talking about the T-14 Armata, which has failed to live up to its mission. Russia will not wipe out Ukraine, this will be a long protectorate war. Putin made it clear, it wants the whole of Ukrainian country, Ukraine want to exist as a sovereign nation. How do negotiate that. What middle ground can you find. But your claim that Russia will wipe out Ukraine, are you inferring Russia will use nuclear weapons? That will show to the world Russia cannot win in a conventional war, & against a much smaller country. It need its nukes to do so. But that will bring a response from the US, if Russia get used to in using nuclear weapons to get its way, it may use them against Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, & Estonia. Which Putin made it very clear it wants to conquer.

@@lenziechundu3292 my friend, (another one calling me friend?) I have been hearing that Russian propaganda since it invaded Ukraine that it would finish that war in a few days. He failed to do so in February 2022. Now one believes in that propaganda anymore. Maybe the GOP fascist in our country do. The US & NATO did not began sending weapons to Ukraine until it proved it will continue existing as a sovereign country. By early may, that's when Ukraine got the tow missiles & the M142 HIMARS. And the supply are limited. But Ukriane will soon be supplied with F-16s & American Abrams tanks. Ukraine air force is very small but have given the Russian a very hard time, lets see what they will do with the F-16s. Umm... Ukraine is not fighting to win the war. Who told you that fib? Ukraine is fighting to exist as a sovereign country free from Russia. Ukraine has lost some territory in the East but has recovered Kharkiv & Kherson, don't know if Ukraine will be able to recover Crimea. They might be able to recover Mariupol but that will be it. The US lost about 55,000 soldiers in wounded in action & killed in action, not hundreds of thousands. The US formed the spearhead of the Iraq invasion, the British soldiers were to cover the flanks, Australia only sent a very small contingency, wasn't big. The US doesn't have a large army as it used to in the Cold War. Russia is not the most powerful country on Earth, the small country of Ukraine has shown that for the world to see. Russia is not containing 66 countries, it's having a very hard time winning a war against a small country 20 times smaller. Russia is only powerful because of it's nuclear weapons. Without them, it's nothing. And today, Russia is under the shadow of China.

Only thing that missile has going for it is the low level flight, luckily for the user the combat area is mostly flat. Otherwise it is a smallish and quite a slow target, easily to be intercepted even with the 60s tech. The carriers are flying very low as well, just for the minimum necessary amount of time usually with another cover plane. Due to that the range is much lower but still enough for current deployment. Bit expensive to use as you might loose up to 2 planes to fire 1 missile. Also I would wonder if Ukraine try to saturate the defences with other missiles and drones during the deployment same as they usually do when using Himars.

Of coarse this is complete bullshit but this kind of hubris causes governments, researchers, and producers to sit on their asses and believe their own bullshit. ThIs is the worst fault a weapons system can have. If I were an F35 pilot, I'd be very nervous as to how well these wonder innovations work seeing how the, for maximum profit, defense industry may fudge a number here or there to get the lucrative contracts. Transmitting coordinates would provide a signal for homing defenses and hardly stealthy. Many are arguing how this Storm Shadow was shot down. It is also possible that it just failed on its own and crashed. This channel touts over the horizon radar. Low freq radar may detect a stealthy object from quite a distance, and it can provide a heads up! alert, but hardly good for targeting. The Storm Shadow shown here was in Zap Oblast which implies the plane carrying it was likely easy to detect. The plane was probably flying towards the intended final target even though the target may have been 150 km distant, so it would be easy to alert those along the presumed flight path. Few Storm Shadow targets have been in Zap Oblast, so the missile may have still been descending from its launch, still much above tree top level and a much easier target.

west make a lot of propaganda videos about their weapons. They say their weapons are the most advanced and modern.then they sell it at a very high price, when the weapon is used for war,it turns out that the weapon has many weaknesses hahaha

@@Matteo7217 When the failure of Ukraine in the great "counter-offensive" is also visible from Saturn/Jupiter/Neptune/Pluto ;), the rumors begin to spread that Russia has not taken Kiev! :))) Funny, if it didn't show the Western thinking that can't recognize when it's losing badly! ;) Russia never said it would take Kiev, it didn't want to do that but only to put pressure for a peace treaty, and the withdrawal from Kiev was due to the farce, common among Westerners, by which Ukr signed a peace treaty and then refused to implement it! if you still want to talk about "victories", how about we look at the USA/NATO which fought small countries and ran away from there! :))) You tell him how it is with the US "victory" in Afghanistan! :)))) Then move on to Syria, Libya, and others :))🤣🤣🤣

Yeah, but Storm shadows have only 250km range while Russian cruise missiles are 1000km+ range , much faster too, storm shadows are big and slow.

Russia is gaining huge experience in this war plus picking up massive western technology from everything they captured. It just shows they are not the easy target politicians and media seem to be claiming.

I’d like to see definitive proof of this. Although no weapon has a 100% success rate, but I suspect this was a fluke on the part of the Russians. If not, then being intercepted will help our engineers refine it and replacement weapon capabilities. Stormshadow appears to have been very successful against key Russian targets. 🤷🏻‍♂️
