I saw a review of these once where someone suggested the addition of tie out points on the sides so when it is windy it keeps the tent from flapping against you, is that what the loop in the hood part is? I'm always surprised at how long the inside is on these vids.

How does it perform in windy conditions? Doesn't it bend or collapse against you?

I've not had any problems myself, but I do guy the front out to turn it into a four sided structure if I'm expecting wind.

Hi that's a good question! If you ever want to customise or augment a Zelter Shelter setup, there are reinforced tie-down loops on all the corners and at the peak, so one can add a pole or cordage to do what they will. We wanted to create a platform that offers some versatility. If you ever want to know anything else, please get in touch!
