Beta is officially live. I got in and will be covering it. They finally added in the gacha mechanics so I'll probably will only get access to a few characters, but expect all the bosses and stuff once i finish and a long video of the full beta content. One thing that got me into genshin is how enemies don't feel like rocks. This is the best feeling in the world when you just make enemies fly, throw them off the cliff, feel even the smallest impact from punches, this is amazing! Animations are essential for these type of games imo.

On a similar note, playing star rail I noticed quite a few enemies use the same animations, even in Penacony the dogs and the big monkey. It's a bit disappointing especially when they have a lot more freedom with animation here compared to their other games.

For some reason, I can’t help but really enjoy the characters. Sure they have fun personalities and charms, but I took me awhile to realize why I really liked them. Previous Hoyoverse games often used the character template from mainly Honkai Impact and put some minor physical changes in along with a completely different stories and personalities to fit the universe they reside in. The prime examples is Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun or Honkai Impact Bronya and Star Rail Bronya. Here in ZZZ, the characters feel genuinely new rather then being some alternative version of another character. This makes this game feel completely different from the other Hoyoverse games.

I hate the expys as well. It feels very lazy. At least in genshin they are I think 4 and are still a bit different especially Venti, but in star rail they are just direct copies. I hope zzz sets itself aside from all previous hoyo games because I don't want the same game recycled for the nth time.

I dont get why anyone would want to listen to some random scream at a TV screen/ I also dont get why people would want to watch people play games an not play them themselves, well other than at high skill level like fighting game tournaments. FYI I am here to check gameplay of a game not watch someone play.

The drawn over in game dialogue cut senses is better tbh, it looks good while saving storage and not needing to reuse the same low rendered models like Genshin does

My honest opinion: Nicole looks fine even with the changes. And I heard they apparently managed to get publishing rights for this game with the changes they made for this beta so there shouldn't be any more major changes unless I heard incorrectly. Gameplay looks definitely the kind I will love, and I plan to play this when it comes out in the next 2 years for that reason.

I dont like how people are calling this censorship, i would consider this a character redesign. People forget that this isnt the final game, and even I think she was a little bit too *big* before the changes.

@@mktwos It's honestly almost sad knowing that there are actual people losing their minds over the resizing and feel confident in their stance enough to post it online and expect people to agree with them. Being a more casual anime fan especially in games, I can almost never tell someone I like it because of the "culture" most of it's fans have and the content it contains. I hang around family and friends, so I have people who I can dissapoint lol.

Man, I want to play this so, SO badly. I waited so patiently for access to the beta only to find it to be locked behind a lucky draw, and that caused me to have a mental breakdown. Thanks to that; I am now more desperate to play the game than ever, I'll have a lot to say to Hoyoverse once I'm able to get in touch with them.

It's beside the point but, I would think it would be a nice touch if in the game they made reference to the Bangboo from the web game of delivering food. It was a fun event, I couldn't win a ticket to the beta but, it was fun. And I was happy with the way it ended.

🤔🤔 I wonder why they chose to have the "exploration" section be a bunch of TV screens instead of actually giving us a corridor with the same content and puzzles. I get it, you're seeing the Hollow from the perspective of the Proxies, but that'll get boring real fast.

the MC is not playable except only in the hub world they're more of a comms person helping the actual characters you play as navigate through the hollow

Not exactly the same. You get attack bonuses for switching at the right time and parrying works with switching as well
