Great video!! Loved the ktm. I’d like to add if your going to thread bolts in and push against the engine case to put a penny or dime under the bolt to push into. I have also had a clutch holder “stretch” from myself over tightening it so take extra caution and watch Jeff installed his correctly!! Always neat and clean tight and right 👊🤝🤝🤜🤛🤙

Yes a penny or dime is a great way to not mar up the housing brother!! Great Idea. And yup definitely not good to get the holder to tight!

It really does I was warming it up here the gopro shut off for the good fast ripping wheelies all over the place footage! That bike is an animal 58+HP of pure 2 stroke nastiness. I never got it on the pipe in this vid! Its sound awesome on the pipe !

love the KTM in the house, lol great wrenching vid with some great tips..I have had those clutch bolts come loose on a Zenoah engine, no lock tight from the factory, ever happen to you?
@eastsiderc10 ай бұрын
Haha thanks brother. Ive never had the bolts come loose. Usually when I buy a new engine unless its a Taylor I take the clutch off because I change the spring and I like to check the clutch carrier bolt because ….that I have had come loose bro and the whole dang works came loose lol!

@@eastsiderc i hear that, yeah my DBXL came to a stop and would not move, on the stand front and rear wheels turned free, so i knew it had to be in the middle, both those bolts backed out...added lock tight tightened them up and no problem again....since then I do check over brand new R/C's now, cause that was on 3rd tank of fuel....good talk brother🙏

Got a ❓. Is that black coating so the bolt doesn't corroad? So if the casting of the clutch isn't true.after running it when they sling out over and over that's gonna take out the high spots and losen up even more.or am i thinking about it WRONG. Wouldn't you want to leave the coating on the bolt and do the exact opposite.just curious ." Brapp On" Brapp Brapp
@eastsiderc8 ай бұрын
Removing the black oxide finish which is grabby and not smooth wont hurt a thing. All that does is clearance the bolt. They will never get that polished because the movement they swing is minimal. The minor clearance of the bolt just allows it to swing out much more freer through out the clutch’s entire life. It also great thing to do especially if you have bolts that dont spin very well inside the clutch.
