I only loosened the 2 tension pulley bolts and got belt on THANKS FOR THIS GUIDE HELPED!!!!!

A friend said leave the outside belt guide covers off for easy cleaning. Did that and a rock or stick got between the belt and pulley and broke a fairly new belt. Obviously this isn't safe and dangerous. I've pulled back on the belt guards with a wrench before and hammered them back in place, probably not a good idea either. Thanks for the help I love my mower, have e had mine for 10 years +, John Deere makes a great product. Oh yea, the deck is easy to take off, probably need to do that once a year just to check everything out! My favorite part was using the socket wrench to loosen the tension at the beginning of the video, great! Thanks for your help!

A convertible eztrek, great explanation on not to pull on the belt and lose your fingers, no need to shortcut. Belt guides are a pain, but like you said its part of the process, good time to check your bearings. Your impact wrench is killer. "Worlds smallest " 😀. We do enjoy all you give. Just purchased the 2023 version of this. Going from a tractor mower. Wow looks like it’s so much easier to replace. I hated having to slide out the deck on the tractor riding mower.

Ok so.. we are a mom and daughter team. Attempting to keep 2 1/2 acres from becoming a jungle. Well.. yesterday, while cutting tall damp weeds/grass, the belt came off. Question: How do we get access to the underside to do all that unscrewing of nuts and bolts 😫😭
