As always, goes back to find the best tool for your application and needs. And ditto to the beer-if you can drive a zero turn with one hand, you are golden!

I’m the Village President for my town. We are on our second zero turn, both were Gravely’s. Seem to work well. Our employee chose it over a John Deere because the seat was just a bit wider for his stancher. We now use the old JD lawn tractor for spraying and plowing purposes. You can tow easier with a tractor style. Your welder neighbor might be able to manufacture something for your tractor hitch. Personally we use a JD GX345 and a 1025R for our property. We have 5.5 acres that we maintain (yard, pasture and timber creek bottom); how many acres do you have? Not sure of I want to go zero or another tractor style. Those JD 700 series are nice and like $13,000 and up. But, you get what you pay for.
