As someone who has been working & investing as well in the Unlisted Market for the past 3+ Years, I agree with each and every point mentioned here. This is an extra cautious market to invest in. There are several things which are still not mentioned here which I know deep down from the root levels though.

Best time is to wait for the ipo listing, observe the price and observe how market reacts to the price!!! Let the price settle and once you find the value catch on to it!! Example motilal oswal bough jio fin on 5th day of LC after listing, Motilal oswal bought zomato 2yrs after its listing when it was fairly valued!!

I bough Tata Capital share at 650 per share and now it is at nearly 1000. My question is, if they decide an IPO at 500 per share let say, will I get stock bonus or I'll lose 150 per share ?

You will lose ₹150. You have valued each share @650 it doesn't means company will follow your valuations. If company thinks ₹500 each share is decent price than it will be listed @500 each share.

Company itself goes public, so that angels and series investors get an exit and make profit. Common man can't do this, price will be yet to be decided and will be in a bandwidth, before it goes ipo, it is a process... SEBI, MoCA can reject the Process if no due delligence . most Indian companies share price hv gone down aftr ipo listing
