I was surprized when I found out that I had already listened to his work back in 2018 since I only watched the show bc of Zhou Shen lol Both of them are super talented!!! Choose the light not darkness. The vocalise of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” was chosen by Zhoushen as there are white and black swans to highlight the choice.

In the rehearsal clips, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7F_hbGA3tvMeI0.html , we can actually hear that Zhou Shen projected and controlled his voice to be clearly heard during the Italian and Swan Lake chanting parts. There was an even balance of the instruments and vocals. Somehow his volume in those parts were turned down in post production.

This is the 3rd season of this show which means it has been 3 years by now. This time because they invited Zhou Shen as one of the permanent guests, so many people pay more attention to it. In each show, the first round will be 2 individual singers singing the same song and then they will choose from the 5 permanent guests to collaborate performances together in the second round and those permanent guests have to choose only one of them. So basically each episode they will sing with different singers in this show. Surprisingly in this episode, 2 sets of singers which means 4 of them choose Zhou Shen but Zhou Shen didn't choose them because he had already chosen one guy from a performance before which is one of the rules of this game is that those singers after their performances when they choose a partner from those permanent guests. Those permanent guests who didn't get to be choosing have the right to join in tried to persuade them to change their minds. So that means the decisions will be turned over by the set of singers on stage. It is very difficult for me to write to tell you about this show but I tried my best to explain it to you, I hope I will not confuse you with my explanations.

Excellent reaction over the songs, I like your reaction very much. The show is about cooperation between different artists rather than singing contest itself. The program is titled as 《天赐的声音》-- The Treasured Voices. ("God send voice" must be translated by google, I guess, haha). There are 5 established singers including Zhou Shen as standing members in the show which contains 12 episodes. Ten fresh artists would be invited to attend each 2-3 episodes. They first perform duet among themself and 5 of them will get a chance to partner with the 5 different standing members/singers later. There are several jurors from the music industry to comment on each stage performance and choose one as the best performance in each episode. However, the main focus of the show is on the exploration of the cooperation among different artists.
