@@zhd-net Thank you for your very kind reply. Yes, my son was very lucky. I wished all children would have the opportunity to play music in school. I sacrificed all I had to afford him this opportunity....I didn't need a fancy car, fancy clothes, fancy shoes,fancy jewelry or anything else. I am happy to drive my 15 year old car which has 150.000 miles on it. I love musicians and artists. I believe that all people have tremendous potential. Unfortunately our world does not allow everyone to live up to their fullest potential. Many a great talent is lost........it has always been that way. Maybe there will be a way to change it. He is young. Maybe the next generation will be able to achieve just that: Equality and equal opportunity for all people around the globe. We all bleed red.

@@francesjolly5106 Yes, it is very hard to play. I was never good at any strings instruments, tried guitar. I was a brass instrument and woodwind musician, and good at percussions when I was young. I admire those who can play instruments that I cannot play. I admire anybody who can do things that I cannot do. We all have our very special talents.

In 1997 this song introduced me to the Verve. They quickly became my all-time favorite band and I tried to pick up everything they ever recorded. She's a Superstar (extended), Lucky Man, Weeping Willow, A Man Called Sun, Blue Pacific Ocean and Life's an Ocean. Then to find, more recently, Sweet Sour, Tina Turner and Wednesday Madness. They had so much talent. They'll never be another band like them.

As a Buddhist, this song speaks to me of the struggles we all face in life - our most basic wish to be happy and to avoid suffering. We are all equal. All is vanity but kindness. And, in the end, we die and have to face our karma as we enter our next life. I know the world is dark right now, but there are heroes everywhere - you just have to look past the flaws we all have. Love to you all. Just imagine - music binds us together, but pure love, the wish for others to be happy and avoid suffering, makes us a friend of the world. Best wishes from a man who learned his lesson after years of pissing it all away. All the best my friends from BC Canada.

"We are all equal." No we aren't and that's demonstrably so. This is not a bad thing. It just means that everyone has their own path to find in life.
@lenmitchell7529
@lenmitchell7529 4 жыл бұрын
@@AwoudeX In that no one wishes for even the slightest suffering or is ever content with the happiness they have, there is no difference between 'myself' and 'other.' Of course, we aren't born equal, nor do we enjoy equal enjoyments or status, but from the point of view of wishing to attain happiness and avoid suffering we most certainly are, and that's demonstrably so. But we DO all have our own path in life to find.
@AwoudeX
@AwoudeX 4 жыл бұрын
@@lenmitchell7529 No, you are wrong again. Masochists exist for example, who have the weird quirk of enjoying suffering. Some people are fine with some suffering, others will do everything to avoid it. The flaw in your reasoning is that you wish the same for the masochist and the same for the avoider. One of them will be unhappy when that wish comes true. There is difference between 'myself' and 'other' but there's also alot the same. You will always need to consider nuance and context when speaking about humanity as a whole. So no, your point is demonstrably wrong instead. We can find agreement in walking your own path. This idea is true for all religions that have remained wholesome instead of trying what you did there: everybody should be the same in this or that regard. You seem like a kind person and i thank you for remaining civil about talking religion. Cheers.

From its release in 1997 to the present, this song is still one of my mainstays. I went to see Robin Williams right before he died just to see if he could shed some enlightenment givin his resume but I guess that was a bad.. A stupid idea. I made him pretty mad n sad & I felt bad. I went to grab a butterscotch from the fuckin guests bowl which shlld have had Xmas candy anyway hershey kiss's goddamn it red n green m&ma's ... Damn what the hell was smoking when I wrote that awesome comment... No idea where robin williams came up from. No doubt I was high and in my mode that day. Or night.... He'll I don't know. But my point was .... I remember when this video came out on MTV After dark which was when MTV still represented Music Television I was aroumd 16 17 or 18 beginning my long hike up mushroom mountain... I was really into weed early on as well as hard stuff like hallucinogens and all narcotics just as my heroes were too. Steven Tyler still the coolest person I know and i don't even know him. Well personally anyway but I know much about him as a fan through his music & I read Aerosmith bio "Walk This Way" the day it came out and that book no doubt had a huge influence on me especially as far as my drug experimenting goes. ... Im high right now shoot ... I always get to talking n thinking n writing too much. I like the speed though. Hey btw.... God Bless You too man. Only reason you'll find me in the crazy house is a desperate attempt to score drugs... U can't even get a script for Tylenol the doctors be painting me a drug abuser soon as they see me. Sho you right doc sho u right I'm a dope fiend baby I dont know why.. All I wanna do is get high. Rock on .....
