In this episode, we will mainly focus on gimbal set up and menu intro, and the tutorials will be broken down into the following sections: 1.what's in the standard package 2.How to lock/unlock each axis. 3.How to use and mount the camera with the two-in-one quick-release plate 4.How to mount and connect to focus/zoom motor 5.How to attach the correct cable for the camera and gimbal 6.How to balance the gimbal and power on the gimbal 7.How to enter and exit Standby mode.

Tanks for the great walk through! Yesterday I picked up a Ronin SC for my Sony A7III with Tamron 28-75mm lens. The entire rig with a Rode microphone attached weighs just over 3 lbs. This is well short of the 2kg (4.4 lbs) stated capacity. The Ronin worked ok at first but I started noticing it would lose control of the camera and flop around. I tried multiple balancing procedures and the auto tune. It would check out ok and then continue to not perform well. Today I returned the Ronin and picked up the Weebill-S. Wow! I'm so glad I made the switch. I got it setup in 20 minutes and was able to shoot a few hours of footage. I have almost no gimbal experience and I feel like I got some great shots. If you have a heavier camera and lens combo, you can't go wrong with the Weebill!

@@psoon04286 To be honest, I have only used it for a few projects so I can't comment about durability but I think it is a good product. Tons of options for those that need more capability. I only wish I could spend more time shooting!

Ok everybody: to control with Sony cameras: use USB-C cable and set gimbal to camera: Canon. This worked for me! Or you can try Panasonic. Good luck!

I suggest once you have the gimbal balanced as described in this video, you also check the balance in the underslung position. For me (EOS R, 50mm prime) the gimbal was not quite balanced in the underslung position. After balancing it there, it remained balanced in the upright position.

I read somewheres that if you plan on zooming to balance it with the zoom halfway out, that way the motor uses way less battery when zooming

some vital information missing... I see that the wheel operates differently than camera wheels..... so super important to mention this such as ' how to go back to the previous window ' or what does 'L' mean that appears when attempting to save ( or I tend to hit the bottom of the wheel to move me back to the menu.

GoPro Public Relation still like it, but it does slow down production vs just hand holding. Same as any gimbal.

There's no "Simply place the screw into the plate!" This was SO fiddly... though I love your video. I have very good eyesight for small letters but the Quick Start Guide needs a microscope to see the instructions!!!

One thing to note when you're screwing it in, make sure you screw it into the plate where it says zero as there are tiny grooves for the screw to fit into. If you try do it anywhere else you will be fiddling around or ages

I can't seem to find the answer to this question. I have an arca swiss plate under my a7riii. Do I need to screw it on the gimbal every time? What solutions do I have? If I buy an arca swiss base will the system work?

5:56 lets begin by doing the tilt access.... ok i thought i did that, why is the next step not make sense? 6:28 didn't you make the camera level? how is that adjustment going to make it face up? mine keeps going back to the level angle we set it the step RIGHT before

My gimbal arrived today! Random question, does your gimbal also makes a squeaky noise? While holding the gimbal or balancing it I hear a squeaky noise. Once I turn the gimbal on with the camera balance, the noise is not there.

@Zhiyun-Tech What should be done first? Calibrate the gimbal or balance it? Connect the app or update the firmware? Please tell the correct order to do these things. I haven't used the gimbal yet

The first thing you need to do is making sure your camera and lens are on the compatibility list. If you have already got your gimbal, please follow the user guide to setup your gimbal.

I have 5D Mark IV 24-79 f2.8. After balancing the first position the camera is so far back that the eye piece contacts the gimbal obstructing any further movement .

There is some inaccurate info in this tutorial. It turns out that in order to control the Sony a73 you need to set the camera to Panasonic in the menu and use the micro USB to micro USB cable, not the micro USB to Multi cable.

I’m trying to put my Canon R5 + 24-70mm lens on my new Weebill S and having troubles. I’m trying to balance the first tilt and I have the camera as far back on the plate and the plate as far back on the gimbal as it will go and it is still leaning forward. Am I missing something?

Using a Sony A7iii... Unable to operate camera record thru the gimble red record button. What does the red record bottom on the gimble supposed to do? Is there a quick release camera method where you can remove and remount the camera back on the gimble without having to rebalance it? What is the point of having the camera wire connect to the gimble, when you can't control any function of the camera from the gimble? The wire connection is useless, just like record button. They serve no function to operate the camera thru the gimble.

USEFUL NOTE : When using the Nikon Z50, it is better to use the SMALL Plate directly on the camera rather than the huge plate supplied, (which keeps shifting all the time & throwing off the fine balance of the Zhiyun Weebill. This combination works especially well with the16-55 mm Nikon-Z FX zoom kit lens attached)

Hi I am not a professional camera man by any standards but I love to take video and still shots, my question is , I have a Nikon D5300 I use video with the back door of my camera opened, and extended for easy viewing, however after balancing my camera If I open the door when videoing the camera tilts, If I balance my camera with door opened for still shots it will be unbalanced, any suggestions please. The follow focus usb-c cable is too short. I used it on a sony a7iii and tamron 28-75. It can't reach the gimbal port at all. I tried adjusting the plate and the rod and the motor position a dozen times. Just didn't work. I noticed that in the video, you had the exact same lens and camera, but you were putting the gear ring on the zoom ring instead of the focus ring of the lens. And your cable is all straightened, if not stretched.

Yesterday I updated the firmware of my WeeBill-S but saw nothing different. However today I find that the WB Record button is now working with my Nikon D850! Additionally the camera LiveView starts. Hope this help others.

I have a brand new Weebill S and all I get is an axis lock error. The axis are not locked. The camera is perfectly balanced, and this is not my first Zhiyun gimbal. When I power on the Weebill the camera slowly tilts down and it gives me an "Axis Error" message. Please help!

When using the rizer plate, the camera is always top heavy. Tilt axis is already at its lowest position, so I can't balance that axis perfectly... Is there any way to add more weight to the bottom so the tilt axis can be balanced when it is already set at its lowest position?

Thank you for this helpful video. I love my Weebill-s but every now and then it somehow goes into what seems to be a SLEEP mode showing a couple of letters "Z... Z" on the little handle screen. I cannot figure out how to wake it back up unless I shut the gimbal off with the power button and start over. Do you know a better way to wake this up when the Z's are showing?

I'm using the Sony ZV e10 with 18-135 Sony lens. Went thru auto balance, got a check mark but seconds later the whole rig started vibrating and I noticed the camera slowly tilting down. What am I doing wrong?
