Why on earth would you want to put a chemical flavour enhancer in your food. Let the real ingredients speak for themselves, traditional fried rice does not contain soy or msg. This is a nasty dish made for British people. Real Chinese food is nothing like this muck!!
@aoifex47482 жыл бұрын
@@derekmcdougall9638 they aren’t claiming its authentic Chinese food, this is a Chinese TAKEAWAY channel. There’s plenty of authentic Chinese channels on youtube so go seek them out if you’re so offended. Msg is in many more foods than you think and you probably consume it without realising it. I have many Chinese friends that despite loving traditional authentic Chinese food still love a cheeky Chinese takeaway, so not just the British bud.

We left the UK for 'Merica 20 years ago and I've spent many happy hours recreating all the things we miss from home. Thank you for helping me to recreate our favourite Chinese takeaway food, and also for your wonderful, informative, entertaining videos. We just polished this off along with some king prawns in batter (using your chicken in batter recipe, having smuggled Green Dragon SR flour home at Christmas) and the meal was 95% as good as Kum Tong, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, where we both grew up and which is a very tough act to follow.

Have a tip for ya; if you don't have overnight rice for making fried rice, just dry-fry the rice in the saucepan (cheap long grain so long as it's not quick-cook) in about a tbs of vegetable oil stirring constantly until the grains change colour to cloudy white, then add your boiling water. The result is grains which are sealed and don't stick together, and you can even put it into the pan hot after rinsing... It's not quite as good as overnight rice, but it's darn close and very quick and easy ;)

Loving these videos, and msg is great stuff, I’ll defend it til the day I day. Don’t wanna invoke the wrath of 1000 dragons or anything but I’ve recently started sticking a hand full of coriander seeds in my fried rice (the day before while it boils), obviously not very traditional but I’d recommend it to anyone looking to try something a little different, the little bursts of zestiness add a nice contrast to the salty, umami flavours in the dish. Either way you guys are doing God’s work keep it up!

How lucky is your dad? 😁 First he has you both as his family. Second he gets to eat home cooked Chinese food whenever he wants it. What a family.

Apparently the song with the lyrics ‘golden brown, texture like sun’ is about Heroin. The more you know

SuperCholdi Newcastle brown isn’t ‘golden brown’ it’s a pretty dark brown so it’s definitely not about NCB lol

Wow, this really helped. I couldn't get the flavour quite right before and so I left out the sand, marsala and maggots and it's perfect. You are MSGenius'eses!

I've been cooking chicken fried rice about ten years it's the only one my family will eat now. we had takeaway one's but they will not eat chicken fried rice unless I make it. I done my own recipe. I use ginger spring onions sesame oil for cooking it. I cook my eggs 1st set aside. Then cook the chicken set aside. I heat my sesame oil then put in the onions ginger then my rice salt pepper peas cook for a few minutes. then add chicken add soy sauce cook 2 minutes. then last add the egg. Love the video you and your mom 👌

Sounds nice the only thing I’d change it no Chinese cooks with sesame oil, it to finish, it burns at high heat.

@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop I've not had that happen yet so I'll keep going with it 😁 I cook on electric hob with the ring underneath the wok it gets hot but not that hot 🔥 I don't think.
