Midfielders tend to be the smartest players but Zidane takes it to the next level. Xavi was called brain of Barcelona team even if Messi was their best player. Imagine Zidane and xavi in same team. Great video.

I was at this match and that day and thought he was brilliant, but seeing the higlights today some 18 years later I’m not all that impressed no more.. I think Zidane even got a couple of freekicks his way that were clean tackles on the ball.. No he is nowhere near Laudrup level that is for sure..

I was at this match and back then I thought Zidane were outstanding in the match, but seeing it again today I have to admit that yes he did have some moments in the match, but was generally held in a short leech by Ingi Højsted.. Some of freekicks given weren’t freekicks.. Kind of dissapointed actually..
