Here and in all the Video Clip Parts, they discuss many aspects of Sufi and Classical music, their personal journey of life, Zila Khan's pathbreaking musical innovations, her drive for bringing about changes in the Women Empowerment Movement even in the music world. She is asked about her breaking the glass ceiling in music in Indies music, fusion / jazz music with Sufi and especially contemporary and classical music making it her own style of singing which is now recognised well over the world. This and much more, differentiates her singing from Qawwali or from other singers.
The discussion also flows into what pained Zila Khan is when she saw all women artists being addressed as Begam/Kumari/Shrimati as a prefix to their names. They were some of the greatest artists in the world and to have just their 'marital statuses' as their Title was wrong, while all male artists enjoyed a 'professional prefix/title' like Ustad or Pandit, Maestro's were never addressed only as Shri so and so, or Janaab so and so, they were Ustads and Pandits and Acharya's, so why was society not conscious of Women artists being addressed as UstadMa or Pandita or Panditain.
Zila Khan changed all that with her initiative about properly recognising and conferring Women Artists with their Professional Title of UstadMa. She brought this cause to the forefront by every means possible and the most beautiful being she confers the title of UstadMa to great women artists periodically. Today there are some women artists who have started using UstadMa or Guruma as their 'professional' titles. Today Maestra's are addressed as UstadMa or GuruMa by people, acknowledging and celebrating men and women Artists alike, like Ustadji or Panditji.
