I've been talking 50 MG zinc for few years and I have everyone of these 12 symptoms
@DrSusanBrown
@DrSusanBrown Жыл бұрын
HI James, we recommend only taking 15-30 mg daily of zinc. It's important to note that high levels of zinc can interfere with the absorption and utilization of other essential minerals, such as copper, iron, and calcium, which can lead to further health complications. The safe upper limit for zinc intake for adults is 40 mg per day, and consuming more than this amount can lead to zinc toxicity. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking any dietary supplements, especially if you have any health conditions or take any medications.

@DrSusanBrown I had a question re your ionized magnesium. What does ionized mean. Also the vitamin c why is it buffered or effervescent. Does that make a difference vs regular vitamin c. Thank you so much.
@DrSusanBrown
@DrSusanBrown 5 ай бұрын
Hello! Ionized magnesium is a form of magnesium that's electrically charged, making it more easily absorbed by the body. This higher bioavailability means your body can use it more efficiently, which can be particularly beneficial for supporting various health functions like muscle and nerve health, bone strength, and maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. Our Alkalini-C fully buffered ascorbate, a very special, unique and potent form of vitamin c is made with an incredible process which allows all of the electrons of the ascorbate to be available for donation to the consumer. (Think HIGH POTENCY antioxidants) Most vitamin C (ascorbic acid) you purchase in the store is already oxidized (means already donated their electron, and has less potent energy available to the consumer) We take great care to preserve this electron for our consumers with our Alkalini-C product and this is why our customers swear by this product. Although they may not know the complicated science behind our ascorbate powder they notice that they feel different taking Alkalini-C. Read more here: alkalineforlife.com/blogs/news/ascorbate-vs-ascorbic-acid Thanks for watching!

@soulfire. 11 ай бұрын
Of course! But most importantly would be changing her diet to an animal foods based diet with salads and green vegetables! No sugar, no grains, intermittent fasting and some type of exercise to help blast through the blockages in the brain if she is active! Loads of supplements, loads of water! It’s possible 🙂✨

Just wanna recommend you check out pro metabolic principles (Kate Deering has a great book). It might give a different perspective on sugar and greens than the comment before me (I eat the former, and little of the latter.) I am eating after those principles to hopefully avoid future AD, as it runs in the family. Nutrient Power by William J. Walsh, PhD has a chapter on Alzheimer's. Mentions zinc, but also copper, and more. And if you're gonna give her zinc give her oyster supplements, so you get zinc and copper! Giving zinc without copper won't do much good.

Thanks for sharing. Could you please tell us what foods are rich in zinc?
@DrSusanBrown
@DrSusanBrown 2 ай бұрын
Shellfish: Shellfish are among the best sources of zinc. Oysters, in particular, are exceptionally high in zinc, with some varieties containing up to 500% of the recommended daily intake per serving. Other shellfish like crab, lobster, and mussels are also good sources of zinc. Meat: Various meats are rich in zinc, with red meat being particularly high in this mineral. Beef and lamb, in particular, provide significant amounts of zinc. Pork and poultry, such as chicken and turkey, also contain zinc but in slightly lower amounts. Seeds: Certain seeds are excellent sources of zinc. Pumpkin seeds, also known as pepitas, are particularly rich in zinc, providing nearly 20% of the recommended daily intake per ounce. Other seeds like hemp seeds, sesame seeds, and squash seeds also contain zinc. Legumes: Legumes, such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas, are good plant-based sources of zinc. While they contain less zinc compared to animal sources, they can still contribute to your daily intake. Additionally, legumes are rich in fiber, protein, and other nutrients. Nuts: Some nuts are decent sources of zinc. Cashews and almonds, in particular, provide notable amounts of zinc per serving. However, compared to other sources like shellfish and meat, nuts contain relatively lower levels of zinc. Dairy: Dairy products like cheese and milk contain moderate amounts of zinc. While not as high as some other sources, including dairy in your diet can contribute to your overall zinc intake. Whole Grains: Whole grains like wheat, rice, and oats contain some zinc, although the levels are lower compared to other foods. However, incorporating whole grains into your diet can contribute to your overall nutrient intake, including zinc.

Im zinc deficient and clearly need it but i get so depressed whenever i take it, no matter how low the dose. I assume it's copper being antagonised but i have no idea how to take it without this happening

I asked 4 different doctors about multiple white stripes on all fingernails. Nothing, don’t know. Also ask why I didn’t have regular periods. Nothing, don’t know , it’s not a problem. 15 mg of zinc daily, period every 28 days for decades. Migraines gone

Yes, what foods, please!
@DrSusanBrown

Several foods are rich sources of zinc, an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including immune function, wound healing, and protein synthesis. Here are some foods that are high in zinc: Meat: Beef, lamb, and pork are excellent sources of zinc. Lean cuts of meat are generally higher in zinc content. Shellfish: Oysters are particularly high in zinc, with some varieties containing exceptionally high levels. Other shellfish like crab, shrimp, and lobster also provide zinc. Poultry: Chicken and turkey are good sources of zinc, especially in the dark meat. Legumes: Beans, lentils, and chickpeas are plant-based sources of zinc. While not as high in zinc as animal products, they can still contribute to daily intake. Nuts and seeds: Certain nuts and seeds are rich in zinc, including pumpkin seeds (also known as pepitas), cashews, almonds, and hemp seeds. Whole grains: Some whole grains, such as wheat germ, quinoa, oats, and rice bran, contain zinc. However, the presence of phytates in grains can interfere with zinc absorption. Dairy: Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt contain zinc, though the zinc content can vary depending on factors like processing and fortification. Eggs: Eggs provide a moderate amount of zinc, particularly in the yolk.

It is typically recommend for best absorption to take Zinc an 1 hour before a meal or two hours afterwards. However, if you are sensitive to Zinc and it causes stomach upset then you can take it with a meal. 🦴 Need a sense of community during your bone health journey?
