People forget that the best Zizou played for Juve, not Madrid. He joined Madrid at 29 going on 30, which was old back then.

zizou was much better in Madrid. In Juventus he was inconsistent compared to del Piero, davids and Trezeguet and also Nedved.

And don't forget he won the world cup while playing for Juventus as well... Even though he didn't win the CL with Juve, he played in 2 UCL finals 96/97, 97/98 and only played 1 UCL final with Real Madrid... So yes Zidane at Juve was raw potential but at Real he was like the finished product... Played well in both teams but I have to say he played better with Juve

You know, everyone in my generation always talks about Cristiano and Leo (two GOATS) but sometimes I feel like they forget what a remarkable talent Zizou was as a player. I've never seen a player control the tempo and have better vision and court awareness than Zinedine Zidane. A true master of football... Not surprising that he has been so successful as a coach.Always rooting for you Zizou! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Zidane was such an amazing player, always a Juve legend! It's really a shame that they lost the 97 and 98 finals going on that back-to-back-to-back run to the finals...truly unprecedented and would have set Juve to the next level. People would have talked about that Juve as people talk about the Sacchi's Milan, Guardiola's Barca or zizou's Real. This era was one of our greatest squads ever assembled.

Che giocatore spaziale! Un fisico da corazziere con le movenze di un felino e il piede ora morbido per passaggi al bacio e giocate sublimi e circensi, ora potente per tiri folgoranti. Un solo pallone d'oro ...no comment. Che ricordi di quella Juventus di Lippi. P.s. è evidente che senza Moggi, pur avendo un giocatore del genere, non si poteva andare molto lontano.

Leggenda del calcio , vincitore del mondiale 1998 e pallone d'oro dello stesso anno , grande giocatore , ha giocato con squadre fortissime , Real Madrid dei gallacticos e la Juventus più forte di tutti i tempi . L'unica amarezza è nel mondiale 2006 che un Po per colpa sua e un Po per gli altri non ha potuto vincerlo . Grande leggenda zidane .

The most complete football player I've ever seen. Some have better stats some have more medals but none of the players mentioned in this thread can hold a torch to Zidane because no player ever played like this pure fluidity like a stream flowing around a rock.

The problem is. Our technology wasnt so good before 2000. So its quite hard to find the footage. Plus, back then there are not many sport broadcaster company compare today.

I remember watching him back in the day and being amazed at how rarely he gave the ball away or played a bad pass etc. He did the simple things brilliantly and then pulled out two or three moments of magic during a game that made you sit back and realise you were watching a genius at work.

Ronaldinho to me was the best player of all time. Anything these greats could do, messi, cr7, phenomeno, zidane, etc... ronaldinho could do. You cant flip that the other way though. Not everything ronaldinho could do, these greats could do either. To have Maradona idolize and bow down to him says everything.

this is a Real "Fuoriclase", a Great "Fennomenal" player, unfortunatelly who dress the number "10" today at Juve are not at level with, have not the decimal quality of Zidane, and have not reach nothing of tracendental on club or national team at levels Zidane did so well.
