Zippo Slim Butane Insert Jet Flame

I was finally able to buy a Butane Insert for my Zippo Slim lighters. These are a little harder to find than the regular sized Zippo Inserts.
I also talk about why Zippo slims are a not as common regular Zippos.

Always preferred the slim. Have a brass one too. I might make it a butane burner.

to the brass one you can actually do a eletrolisis trick with some brass coins to get some brass color at the torch. just take off the butane, seal the jet so doenst come any water and salt inside and leave it for some hours. after that just polish and put it inside.

That would be a interesting project, i might try it with the non function one and see if i can repair it along the way too

you're right the slim one says out of stock, for some reason the slim ones only come from Italy

What are the pros and cons of the butane insert? Are there other inserts?

The pros are: - the fuel won't evaporate when not in use - the fuel doesn't smell like gasoline the cons are: - the butane doesn't do too well in really cold climates or high altitudes there are more inserts for regular zippos, the zippo slim lighters inserts are a little harder to find

@@elias2054 unfortunately no, there are no clear brand names written on it either, and the build quality is lackluster. I think there is a market for them if Zippo was to make them

I found these on eBay a while back, but they have been hard to come by lately. I think they've been discontinued

unfortunately they are not as common as the regular sized inserts, but they do pop up on eBay from time to time. The link i had takes me to an error page now. But keep a look out on eBay
