0:00-0:16 Clearing through a forest of bamboo, we see a humble palace perched on the mountain side. We get glimpses of its courtyard, including bonsai plants and a bamboo fountain. 0:17-0:47 We see our assassin meditating in a shrine. Sensing trouble, the assassin looks up. 0:48-1:03 We see a couple of Japanese villagers running through the forest while another rides a wagon pulled by a horse. The villagers are in fear of their lives, trying to get away from something. A arrow strikes one in the chest, while another strikes the horse, causing the wagon to flip over, spilling its contents. 1:04-1:19 We see the assassin suit up, strapping on two katanas, tightening the straps on the gauntlets, and putting on a quiver of arrows. In the forest, we see a squad of Imperial guardsmen (the people the villagers were running from) go over the spoils of the crashed wagon when three arrows pierce three guardsmen's throats, causing them to collapse. The others look to see the assassin perched on tips of bamboo a short distance away. 1:20-1:53 The assassin battles the guardsmen, leaping down from the bamboo while firing an arrow at the guardsman on a horse. Whipping out a rope dart, the assassin kills two guardsmen by whirling it around his body and slicing their throats before whipping it at another guardsman's forehead. He dodges a naginata thrust and rolls over the guardman's back while using the cord of the rope dart to strangle the guardsman from behind and break his neck. Pulling out his katanas, he fences with the final four guardsmen surrounding him. Impaling the two guardsmen behind him, the assassin uses his hold on the katanas to backflip and kick the two guardsmen in front of him at the same time. Landing in a kneeling position and letting the two dead guardsmen drop, he throws two knives simultaneously at the final two guardsmen's foreheads, killing them both. 1:54-2:07 The assassin stands up and looks with pity at the slain villagers, moving them off the road and in positions suggesting they now rest in peace. 2:08-2:24 More guardsmen show up, looking at their slain comrades in shock. The assassin rises up away from the villagers' bodies and activates his hidden blades, ready for another fight. 2:25-2:44 We now see the assassin meditating back in the shrine, but now we see he's meditating before what appears to be the Apple of Eden.

Olivier Corimbelly Very nice work. The Japanese setting does fit well with the Assassins' Creed tone. It's fast paced in areas, which gives us the image of the Assassin(s) running through the bamboo forest, solemn with a pinch of increased beat, giving us the image of a wounded lone Assassin, a Ronin, engaging a horde of enemy soldiers on the battlefield, and ends with a hopeful finish, giving us the image that the Assassin was successful in bringing peace to his homeland until the next threat. If I were to suggest a time era, it would probably be in the Ashikaga Dynasty during the Onin War, which involved the use of ninja and samurai. Since the country was divided in civil war, that would be the perfect time for the Templar Order to try and claim territory in the East.

An Assassin's Creed game set during the Meiji Restoration would be nice. You can have to different worlds to explore, from the fuedal Japanese towns to the more industrialized cities. Templars can back the Westerners while the Assassin's would back the traditional Shogunate. Gameplay wise you would have lever action rifles, repeating rifles and revolvers combined with ninja stars, katanas, and dart ropes. Depending on the area that you are in, you may also need to change up you fighting style as foreign soldiers would prefer ranged combat compared to traditional enemies with melee weapons.

Would be interesting, a member of the Order (from the European area) is sent to establish some foundations after Japan was forced to open their ports, but the Templars also have the same plan, so now, this member has to go all around Japan, gathering allies and intel in order to either prevent it win a future secret war. (Being honest, if this happens, there must be Templars shinobi, stealth vs stealth)
@tristanbackup25364 жыл бұрын
Agree. Ubisoft is being soo stupid at the moment. The fanbase wants a game based during Feudal Japan when the Portuguese started trade with them. The amount of rich history Japan has well as thier mythologies & religions to be used for the Isu & thier technology to write a compelling story. A turned Ninja wanting cold blooded revenge against Samurai back Portuguese Templars for killing his family only to realise justice must be served instead. Only for the Assassin's Order to catch eye knowing thier is another group of people out there on a unknown land fighting to get the Templars out just like they do so they send one Assassin to scout & help. Depsite the cultural & language differences between this Ninja & the Assassin from Europe, they both understood each other through the conflict they face together against the Templars. As it is part of the Creed to respect & work with people of all cultures mentioned in the lore I can see this working really well.

1877 Japan is modernizing, changing, becoming something the people never expected. But it's not for the best as the Templars are the guiding force of it all.
