I always loved the "dark twisted heroism" of zohakuten's theme. Says a lot about him as a character

People hyped Gyokko and underrated Hantengu. He's the MVP upper moon of the season, Gyokko was as a disappointment.

the arrival of the wooden dragon with that OST in the background literally gave me the chills, what a great song for this character

As someone that hasnt seen the top 3 moons and Muzan go all out, I gotta say that Im satisfied if I ever saw Hantengu and his clones as the final villain. Thats how awesome they were.

Why is Zôhakuten a gigachad: 1) He appears in order to protect the weak from evil Demon Slayers 2) He's super strong, he nearly killed Marked Mitsuri with no big efforts 3) He accepted his death and that's a W unlike Gyokko 4) He got the best KNY drip 5) He's probably the fourth oldest Demon still alive, behind Muzan, Tamayo and Kokushibô, because he's at least 387 years 6) He has the bests themes 7) He has God-like drums 8) He can summons at least 27 wood dragons at the same time, and probably more 9) He got one of biggest range of attack, more than 20 metters 10) He roasted the waifu To get us back on the right path and to wash away our sins 11) he's not a simp 12) he got the scariest eyes, even muzan's eyes aren't as bloody

This Heroic theme is perfect for him. He also thinks himself as the Main Protagonist , The Hero of Justice. I cant imagine how Shirou Emiya would have reacted to this fake Hero haha 😄

I like how the Upper Moons' themes each reflects their traits and personalities Gyutaro's theme = Has a bit of a tragic vibe to it, reflecting Gyutaro's past Gyokko's theme = Has this rather quiet yet cruel vibe, reflecting his psychotic passion for his "art" Hantengu's theme(Or rather, Zohakuten's) = Has this twisted heroic vibe, reflecting to Zohakuten believing that he's saving the "weak one" Akaza's theme = Has an aggressive vibe, reflecting his extroverted personality and his way of fighting Doma's theme = Has this weird, mysterious and horror vibe, reflecting his rather demonic methods of killing and his tendency of faking his emotions Kokushibo = Has this noble, majestic yet menacing vibe, reflecting his position as the strongest Upper Moon(technically the strongest demon Muzan has got), his respect to the hierarchy of the Upper Moons and his strict and demanding-like demeanor

I read the manga, I knew Gyokko was gone suck. What baffled me though is that manga readers NEVER talked about Upper Moon 4...now look at em, clearly the MVP upper moon

Hantengu is one of my fav demon in the whole series (tied with Akaza), like he is the only upper moon that the hashiras cannot solo no matter what

The most interesting part of hantengu is his clone and that is Zohakuten. If only hantengu's real personality is zohakuten. I think he's also the real badass for uppermoon.

I just realize the reason Hantengu was killed off in the swordsmith village arc is because he would be so broken in infinity castle arc. Just think about it you'll have to fight this strong ass demon in a maze that can be move by Nakime while chasing that tiny ass demon in a moving maze. Nakime would just teleport Hantengu to a safe place every time he gets into a corner or almost getting killed, I mean how broken is that if only these demons just cooperate to each other, they would have won lmaoo

A reminder that it was not Tanjiro that killed Hantengu, it was the sun. All Tanjiro was able to do was to stall until daybreak and expose Hantengu's true body to sunlight.

Maybe a hot take, but i found it interesting that upper 5 lost, because of his own hubris. He was was so focused on destroying the village and making Haganezuka lose focus, while doing a battle of wit with Tokito. Yes i ageee it should have been this epic scale thing, but the factors are there and it didnt seem forced at all. Still worth the watch and re-watch.

Seems akaza and gyokko had to face much deadlier hashiras while gyutaro and hantengu had to face tanjiro and the others with comparatively weaker hashiras. This has to be why the the fights with the uppermoons 4 & 6 were more epic and ominous with more opponents. The uppermoons 3 & 5 only had a 1v1 . But this will likely change with uppermoons 1 & 2. I wonder what would happen if gyokko fought with rengoku instead of akaza. Can tanjiro and the others do anything to help or will they be just as helpless against gyokko?! Gyokko may not be as brutal and destructive like gyutaro but he has some deadly one-shot attacks which almost killed unmarked muichiro. I don't believe 1v1's are less epic but this is the case in demon slayer although you could say akaza's fight was somewhat epic. Fights with uppermoons that involve tanjiro seem to better
