Back with another reaction video, another Iranian music video, Mohsen Namjoo Iranian song writer and singer.
And outstanding, Amazing Artist. This song sound more like a poem for a while felt as if he was reciting a poem, romantic and emotional at same time though I really didn't understand the language.
Other important thing was that, this song is not just a typical classical music rather sounded more like a fusion. I like the way he mixed traditional Iranian music with western/modern elements. This song is a mix of Classical+Jazz+ Rock and opera type.
Like the way he did voice change.
I really enjoyed myself Reacting to this video.
Thanks for recommending his name.

Few extra info for you: 1. this song as you already guessed is not a typical persian song he infused many styles to show off his vocal powers 2. this is not the original song, the original song of Zolf is sang many years ago and it's also a alternative song 3. you are right it's a poet by Hafez almost 700 years old, although Hafez is not as famous as Rumi when it comes to persian poetry he is considered as one of its pillars alongside with other legends 4. Namjoo first sang this song as a reaction to an event, many years ago there was a porn video leaked from one of iranian actresses, and it ruined her life as well as her career.. other artist also reacted to that unfortunate event such as legendary rapper Yas 5. you are actually right there is lots of similarities between persian and Indian arts, in fact there are many persian words in hindu and vise versa (for example while I was watching PK i noticed you guys say Eshgh(love) Donya(world) etc.. even the movie title "Ghahi khoshi ghahi gham" completely is understandable by iranians ), also the two biggest diamond in the world known as koohe nur and daryaye nur were gifts from Indian king to Nader shah(king of persia) one of them is still in Iran while the other one was stolen by british forces and now is in UK

This is music at its best. It has everything, and today in 2020 there's not a band or a country that produces music as supremely artistic and meaningful as IRANIANS. IRANIAN MUSIC is the anthem of freedom and liberty throughout the world. We Iranians invite all in love with peace, unity and cooperation to join us against the forces of darkness and evil tyranny of Anglo Saxon FIVE EYE countries.

Mohsen tells stories by his different styles and tones of singing. Listen to his tones. It is like different characters of a story. Besides, he reads poetry.....Shirin & Farhad are symbols of love in Persian literature like Romeo & Juliette, they have a really nice love story with a sad ending.... and the charector of the song refers his lover as to Shirin and is waiting for her to the end of time. He is an ABSOLUTE creative artist.
