The Philippines recklessly relied on its archipelago. It was easy enough to control the spread of the virus, but this did not stop tens of thousands of refugees from China. Zombies quickly took over the northern part of the island of Luzon. Martial law has been introduced in the country. Will Filipinos be able to save lives on their islands ?

I love this series made by yours. This video has the details on it that I appreciated so much. Mostly about those soldier who has their flag flipped(Context: In times of wars, the philippine flag should be flipped) and the bamboo stick that used by the fisherman which is called "Arnis" where it is accessible anywhere. As a Filipino, This video is very accurate based on how the military acts when the zombies came to the mainland, They didn’t waste anytime and they fight back immediately with a great strategy. The scorching earth impress me the most, because unlike other countries they dont use that strategy but in philippines they do. MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!🇵🇭🇵🇭

Sadly though, many islands will immediately fall unless specifically and strategically reinforced by the military, and should some of the islands manage to do that, it is only a matter of time before they fall if there's no constant support and recon. Imo the largest bodies of lands like Luzon are the only areas that can really put up a fight or meaningful resistance if Philippines is to push the infected backwards which is why its necessary that Luzon or Mindanao to not fall to the infected. The bigger islands like Palawan will hold out but will still eventually fall should the refugees start to travel by boat again. Sierra Madre mountain ranges will probably be a good area to either fortify or burn to slow the infection. For Ramon Magsaysay is probably gonna be the stronghold and most important keypoint in the area due to it having the capabilities to deploy air assets.

@@LAST_GUARD If Philippines were to have any hope of fighting in the mainland, the only choice is to repeatedly use scorched earth tactics due to its abundant forests at least stop them from making it a breeding ground for the eggs. Won't melee be a very bad idea since those zombies got some spinelike protrusion coming out from them? That'd be suicide.

@@YoMamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Melee fighting would be the most viable option long term. You can't run out of spears, machetes, or knife attacks. With the worldwide and internal disruptions of supply chains due to the zombie crisis, one can run out of bullets, grenades, and bombs, fast, with little or no hope of resupply. Munitions factories need power, raw materials, and workers to operate, and those three would be hard to come by during the crisis. Other countries able to keep their munitions factories going would also be facing their own problems to worry about resupplying ammo to the rest of the world. Sea, air, and land vehicles would be lucky to have any fuel or spare parts left after a couple months of continuous operations, so it would be the comeback of the melee infantry on out. Dragoons if they could round up enough horses, but the majority of the units would be unmounted.

@@justinkenneth sure enough melee is indeed good for long term, not until you get special infected that needs different ways of disposal. For munitions factories, sure countries that still have major control over their lands would secure it and transporting it to other parts of the world would be impractical of course so it'd be best to use it where it is produced, sucks for others who aren't possible to be reached when supply is needed but it is what it is.

The thing about zombie infections is that, unless it's transmitted through air, it's gonna be quite hard for it to spread uncontrollably if only bodily fluids and blood are the main source of infection. The military all around the world will have it contained. But if it can be transmitted through air, then that's definitely gonna kill us all lmao

Thank you for featuring the Philippines in your country balls series. Though the zombies can swim, but we have thousands of Islands, and the depth of the water we have in between is really deep. The zombies might enjoy the monsoon season but in dry season in which the temperature is very dry and damp I doubt if they will ever reproduce here. And the other thing is, Philippines also have mythical creatures that lurk on darkness like Aswang, it also consume human, I wonder if they encounter the zombies, if they will join the zombie ranks or will fight them as well, since they will have a competition in devouring human flesh😁. The Philippines might be lacking military hardware but not in courage, we will take the fight even if we have to use bamboo spears and jungle bolos. And I admire the small detail shown in the video particularly the "war flag" it's really accurate, on times like that the red color on our flag is on top.

As a filipino who lives in palawan, this is too accurate. This needs to be an actual movie in the theaters Context: even if palawan is mostly covered with trees and surrounded by forrest, it is still safe for having some old US military bases, old structures ones builded by the spaniards which ca be used as a fortress, has many islands and much more. The palawan and the other provinces that were told as safe zones has hundreds of reasons why they are safe. The little detail which was the flag, was seen as upside down. Because if the Blue is on top, it resembles as peace. but if the red is on top, it means war. Also the tribes in the luzon provinces could slower and reduce the spreading of the zombie infection due to their deadly and brutal weapons, even traps. (And yeah i live in palawan, im brutal when it comes to fighting even tho im only 13)

You should have addedd Bolos (a blade farmer tool). Those are typically used for chopping woods, and mostly Filipinos knows how to handle them. Bolos were used in the wars against the Spanish and ww2 due to lack of fire arms that time.

The Philippines has largely prevailing mountains, hills, cave systems etc. I think that might be useful for you to craft around. Also, Manila City has a gated wall community called Intramurous, a walled city built from a time when we were colonized by the Spanish. Perhaps something can rotate around that location as it high walls and gates are very strategic. (+ there are cannons still on the walls)

Just a suggestion: if the infection gets throgh manila and starts going towards south luzon Pagbilao - Lopez, Quezon (and all the municipalities inbetween inside the isthmus) Would be a great area of defense if the infection spreads towards south luzon just a nice idea to keep this interesting

I've thought of this scenario and think it wouldn't be an apocalypse type of scenario. The main reason would be how our houses are built. Most houses, even low income households, are built to protect against trespassers. It's common to see houses with windows with metal grills and concrete walls instead of picket fences. Houses with front lawns or back yards usually are located in a gated community we call "subdivisions". Bottomline - it would be stopped very early. The northern region of Luzon is where the Mountain province is. They do have hi ways but is very limited. It is very difficult geographically to access Baguio city without roads on foot. The big difference is what kind of zombies are they. If it's like World War Z type, we're doomed. If it's Resident evil or walking dead, locals would probably have fun beating the shit out of them
