Glenn and KK were the perfect duo, Glenn represented order with his technical proficiency and KK represented chaos with his wild shredding horse squeal solos. Perfect example for their style is One shot at glory which has brutal leads by both

The thing about Tipton is he started as just a damn good British Bluesman in the vain of Rory Gallagher or Peter Green but as Priest's music got heavier he took a few cues from the neo-classical guys like blackmore and developed his own unique style. He has the speed chops, but he retains the melodicism and tone control of the british blues guys, hence his amazing vibrato and bending techniques.

I had the honor of spending 2 whole days with Glenn in Memphis and even took him to the Park Theater to see Raiders of the Lost Ark. Before the movie started he was telling me about being in Ky. a few days before and hitting golf balls at the driving range and he said behind him was an employee on break playing his acoustic guitar and ''trying'' to play a Priest song. but not doing such a good job. Glenn said when he finished his bucket of balls he walked over and asked the guy if he could see his guitar and then Glenn broke into the song and he said the guy almost fell off the bench and Glenn hooked him up with tickets to the show-such a nice guy and he even called me to thank me for showing him around Memphis and said they were about to get on the bus and leave- After we hung up I was in such a heavenly place from 2 days with my idol I then played ''Heading out to the Highway in his honor while I sat and just absorbed everything that had taken place-Never forget it as long as I live Edit: By the way he was just so cool and the first night when I took him out I let him drive my 81 Z-28 and I asked what music he wanted to hear and he said '' How about something easy'' No prob I played WRVR 104 which was our easy listening station. But in his chats with me he talked a lot about his dog named Charlie and his daughter. When asked what did the ring on his pinky finger mean he said ''It was my ex-wife's wedding ban and I just wear it'' Great guy and I would love to see him again
