Though Mihawk told Zoro that Ace died in front of Luffy, Mihawk didn't tell him that he himself attacked Luffy and tried to stop the rescue. I wonder how their interactions would have been if Zoro knew that.

I mean yeah Mihawk was just doing his job. He even said to himself he regrets having to try and kill Luffy knowing how much Shanks likes him, but he had no choice but to go all out on Luffy. He was the enemy at the time
