Just bought this system with only four cameras but will add four more later. This is the third system I have owned. The previous two being 720P. This one is super sharp compared to those. It is amazing the DVR is much smaller but does so much more. This video is a big help.

Thanks for the video. Couldn't get mine to work with the crap directions that come with it but your information helped. Problem now is I can only get 4 of the 8 channels to work. Suggestions?

SO with the NVR system, does the power cable for the cameras need to be plugged in? I just got this system and the cameras work without the power cable connected. But it didn't even come with the gang power cable anyway in the box.

Can you tell us your device model? If it is a POE camera system, the camera only needs to use a network cable to connect to the NVR, it does not need to be connected to a power adapter.

Yes. The red light will keep flashing. The red light turns on the night vision mode.

Hi Mickey, if you use the ZOSI DVR/NVR, then it would better to use the ZOSI camera because of the compatibility.

Hello. This is not needed. Because the cable connecting the camera to the system both provides power and transmits data.😁

Why do people and cars look robotic as the pass by? What would I have to spend or what model/brand would I buy so the robotic feature is eliminated? It looks like I'm viewing at something like 5 or 10 fps.

Does it trigger motion alarm when it changes from day to night more or when someone turns on the lights ? If it does, it's a piece of garbage system because it will trigger alarms when cloud casts shadows, car passed in the distance casting light at the camera as it passes by etc. Well ?

None of our DVR system require an internet connection to be used locally. The internet connection is used to allow remote connection using a smartphone app or PC client. These features won''t be usable, but the system will still work as a local security system with recording and storage. You also can contact our support email address: service@zositech.com

I have a question: Can these PoE cameras, be connected "wirelessly" If I just use ac/dc will it act as a wireless camera?

Sorry, it can't. POE cameras need to be connected to the NVR using an Ethernet cable even if they are connected using a power adapter.

Actually you could but you would need extra equipment like a wireless gigabit router at each end and then configure the two to find your cameras IP.

What kind of hard drive can I use on my Zosi dvr? I purchased a Zosi dvr box but it didn't come with a hard drive

You can search the hard drive brand Seagate, we use it also.

The cameras work fine when viewing on my computer screen; however I am trying to get viewing on my phone through the app. When I try and setup Wi-Fi on the computer screen, it won’t find or locate my Wi-Fi network; it won’t do anything. Can you help?

Please log in to the system on the local monitor and go to Main Menu--Set up>Basic>Date and time> to open Sync Time with NTP Server. Click "Update Now" to check whether you get a success message. After you get it, log back into the APP to check.

I just got my zosi 8 camera unit today. When I hook an HDMI cable up to my laptop (win 11) the laptop doesn't recognize that zosi is connected. Is there something else I need to do to get connected directly with my laptop?

Hello. The camera does not require power when connected to the nvr via Ethernet. Ethernet can both provide power and transmit data.

Hi I have recently fitted this system. And for some reason I can’t get it to record. When I go to disc management there is no information. And when I have the images up on my screen, I have a yellow sign reading Disk lost. Please can you help? Thank you.

If nothing in the Disk Management page, disassemble the rear cover of the DVR/NVR to check if the power wire and data wire of the hard drive are connected well, you can re-connect them to try. What distance of RJ45 cable until it requires extra power to be connected?

Does this zosi system have 2 way audio ? If it's connected to wifi will it get cell notifications?

Only one of my camera works out of 8 all flash green. Bar 1 one is dead. Power to the rest though .just won't work 4 hours I've spent on them ... there going back.

Please restart the DVR/NVR and go to Main Menu--Set up--Network, then click 'test' to check if it is OK. After you get it, please add the device again.

If you can't login the DVR/NVR system on monitor/tv, please send the device's ID and model number to us. (You can be able to find the label stickers on the top and at the bottom of your device) And make the characters on the sticker as clear as possible, we will create a super password for you.

Could you help to do some check if your CCTV security camera is not showing images: A. please check the cable to see if it is loose. If it is ok, then please check your camera. B. Please check if your security camera power supply is working properly. You can cover up the lens of the camera, if you hear a click or see a red light in the lens, this would indicate if the camera is receiving power. C. please Test your security camera on a different DVR/NVR port. D. Swap the input cables (BNC cable or Ethernet cable) to see if it makes a difference.

I have a zosi NVR and it just beeps and it doesn't work. what can i do to repair it

1) It maybe that the system is unable to start due to insufficient power supply. - Please change another working power supply to connect the system to try. 2) If you installed an internal hard disk in the system, the hard disk has bad sectors may also cause this problem. - Please disassemble the rear cover of the DVR / NVR system and unplug the date wire and power wire of the hard drive to try. 3) If neither of the above steps work, it sounds like the DVR /NVR system is experiencing a firmware crash. This sometimes occurs if the power is disconnected without performing a proper shutdown through the menu. Manually applying a firmware update should help it to function normally.

Please provide us the model number of your system, on the outside of the DVR / NVR, there should be two labels featuring the model number and device ID of your DVR / NVR.
