the corvette isn't even close to being one of the fastest super cars. You put it up against a real super car like a p1 or a 918 and it will be obliterated.

Well, one main thing is that i dont know of any track that would let that jeep run. no saftey devices on it what so ever. no seat belts, nothing. and most respectable drag strips require you have some sort of harness.

Tracks wont let these cars run. They require full cages. I would love to make a few passes in my vette, but I don't want door bars. Therefore any 1/4 times in my 700hp vette would have to be done on the street. I have not street raced it. I road course it. Some track needs to let the cars play.

Street racing a jacked up jeep with spray and a serious engine with just a lap belt is bad enough. then throw in the face they appear to be racing towards a blind hill. speachless. as someone else said, natural selection at its finest here.

233monte Don't call other people morons when you're using your OPINION as indefinite fact. You call that being braindead, they call it having fun. Isn't that amazing that we are capable of our own thinking and can make decision ourselves? We don't need nannies hanging off of our shoulders telling us what we should and shouldn't do. This isn't the first time they've raced that Jeep, and surely won't be the last. They're confident in their build, and have every right to be and to make a choice whether or not they want to get in it and do pulls. Not you, or me, or anyone else but the driver are in any position to say if he should drive it or not.

I'm sorry if I made someone angry but I wanted to point out that no stupid people could get to their position with powerful cars and crafting them by themselves :) They might be arrogant but there are always "worse" people everywhere and "better" people everywhere too.

If the road was packed with cars coming by all the time, then there MIGHT be a problem. Here's the thing, you stereotype people who seemingly 'don't care' about their well being, but you play a stereotype of your own. You are in no position to tell them what they should or shouldn't be doing just because you feel your opinion is correct. It still is just that, an opinion and doesn't make it any less relative just because you wouldn't do it yourself. That's why the world is as fucked up as it is nowadays, because people meddle in other peoples lives, trying to make decisions for them based solely on their opinion and perspective on things. We're all adults and we're capable of making decisions for ourselves. Besides, no one goes racing with the sole intention of hurting themselves or anyone else, so you need to stop believing they aren't doing things in order to prevent any damage. An industrial plot of land is a legitimate area to race in most of the time (while staying within the city and not needing to drive hundreds of miles for a country road to do a couple of pulls). As for the guy on the bike not wearing gear, I find that to be silly as well, wouldn't ride without gear myself, but again I too am in no position to tell him what he can and can't do. AS for the Jeep, the guy built it himself, so he has the right to be confident in it being able to pull in a straight line. You don't seem him taking corners at speed do you? If he feels he is safe enough with only the lap belt in there, then who are any of us to say otherwise?
