Күн бұрынLet's play Super Mario Odyssey! I've wanted to play Super Mario Odyssey for years, and this was one of my most requested games to play! Luckily, I had the chance to finally play this Mario game :D So here's my first playthrough of Super Mario Odyssey! I tried to play through as much of the game as possible in a single day, and this video shows as far as we got :D I haven't watched any Super Mario Odyssey content, so it's a blind playthrough where I don't know what Cappy is or what happens in the game, or what Bowser does, or when the game ends, so you might have some nostalgic memories seeing someone play through Super Mario Odyssey for the first time and exploring all of the kingdoms!
A little backstory: I just want to give a huge thank you to you for watching this video, it's because of you that I got to play this game and make this video. Super Mario Odyssey is a game that I've been wanting to play for years (just like Breath of the Wild and Minecraft and a bunch of other incredible games), and it's because my KZfaq channel has been doing so well recently that I got to finally give this game a try! When I was in school, I was hyper-focused on school and that's all I would pay attention to, and I missed out on a lot in life including a lot of video games that were absolute gems. It's such a nice feeling of huge relief to finally get to play a game like this, it's such a nice experience to have some time for yourself to do what you want, and I'm really looking forward to making some videos about testing/ modding this game, Super Mario Odyssey was a blast :D Thank you so much for watching, and thank you so much for all of the support!

i really appreciate how you make sure to do the timestamps in almost if not all videos. Especially for videos this long it seems like it’s so much effort (effort thst is entirely worth it as i use them quite a lot if i’m rewatching a favorite video or if i don’t have time to fully watch a video i can very easily skim around)

I have somehow managed to get every single moon except for the Long Journey’s End. What a fitting Multi-Moon to end the game on. What moons are you stuck on?

I have 4 left as well. I'm assuming they are the second moon in both picture games, 100 in volleyball, and 100 in jump rope. My last 4 are those exactly.

MemeMaker 2 I actually barely managed to pass the RC S-Class, but just remember to cut corners. Mario Picture map was easy: try the most you can to remember where the pieces should be and use the edges of his face for reference. 100 jump rope; i think that after like 50 you just need to time your A presses really well and at a constant pace. And for the 100 Volleyball, I was surprised people got stuck in this one: Just place yourself in the center and aim Cappy at the ball in any direction. Use the shadow for reference. Hope this helps!

My 7 and 5 year old love watching people play video games but they know when they go on youtube they are only allowed to watch zxmany. Only channel that I never hear cursing or anything inappropriate. He's funny and clean. As a mom I'm so grateful for this channel.

I would really love to see you keep going and playing this game because there is so much more to do even after rescuing peach, like talking to luigi, meeting peach in every kingdom(or not really every kingdom has peach i dont remember) collrcting moons you missed, and even collecting maxing the moon limit to see something, i really love seeing your reactions on this game and i really want to see more =b

14:15 In the Captain Toad Treasure Tracker game, the boss in that game was a bird, so it is a reference to that game. EDIT: 1:20:00 You know you could just use the gushen, (Small Octopus) 3 times instead of using it once and then groundpounding it twice

2:32:30 the hitbox for that fire attack is much much smaller than it looks to make players feel more tension and ultimately more accomplished. This game has a lot of moments like that where the game makes you think you outplayed the game by including intentional unintentional skips and other things similar to the bowser fire hitbox. so any player no matter the skill level will feel like a pro. it’s very interesting game design.

That's a really great question! Maybe Cappy is just resting there and not wilfully controlling Mario, or maybe Cappy is controlling Mario 🤷♀️

Nice to see another regular playthrough after the mod you did, I thought it be a one time thing. I like to see your reaction to it, to the finish. (BTW with the slot machine game, throw Cappy from the side to hit all same time. Shake controller down and Cappy would be thrown straight spinning vertical instead of horizontal, going much further. Can even be used to throw Cappy down edges.)

Tip: Shake the controller while gliding with Glydon to keep your altitude. Yes, you NEED to shake it, I know you cannot. But it will very useful "soon". Edit: Warning: Answer contains minor spoiler

I somehow always roughly knew how far I am in the game by simply checking the Baloon of the Odyssey, since I was expecting it to become a full round baloon near the end of the game.

1:44:25 Midair cap jumps are never the *intended* strategy, but they're always there. This seems to be Nintendo's attempt at making Mario's movement comparable to that of Sunshine without having to make the levels as sparse as those of Sunshine.

also 2:42:39 me too... I got stuck on how to get to the upper half of Lake Kingdom when I started this game (I was 14; I still can't believe it), and even without all the cutscenes, this definitely rivaled 3D World for my favorite Mario game (I guess I like the movement of this game just as much as that of 3D World, even after learning how to crouch boost, which *really* breaks 3D World open). And 3D World was so great I 100%ed it twice before getting bored. There are a total of... *880* (excluding duplicates you can buy from shops after beating the game) ...moons in the game. As you could probably have guessed from how trivial some of them are.

As for how far I want to see you take on the postgame, I'll probably suggest getting 500 and then doing the Champion's Road it unlocks. (Assist Mode helps a *lot* with it.) Going for the 880 or 999 just gets tedious.

Tip: There are 2 moons in most sub areas. The one at the end, and the secret one.

Did you know at the end of super Mario 3-D world when you beat Bowser’s when they beat Bowser Bowser turns into a firework, so does that mean Bowser has fireworks inside of him? It’s so funny I think he has fireworks inside of him.
