At the time this album came out (El Loco) it had the most sexual innuendo lyrics then anything before it. "Tube Snake Boogie" "It's So Hard" and everybody's fav "Pearl Necklace" All there songs got lots of airplay! By far one of there best lp's..

The Absolute loudest song I have ever heard in concert! And I like loud! I had to sit down. I never expected that absolute explosion of harmonics that is ZZ TOP. RIP Dusty!

Will die, without seeing them! That is tragic, as I am a born Texan, and first listened to ZZ Top in 1968 ( just got paid today ) while bagging groceries in a Kroger Grocery store in Grand Prairie. Saw many of the greats live, but missed ZZTopp. Got to have your head, properly, anesthisized, to understand 10 ft. pole!

Interesting, there is either a percussionist off stage playing the shakers or Frank has it playing electronically. What a killer band. There is something about trios. So many great ones the last 50 years! ZZ, RUSH, Genesis... many others. Love how in tune they are with one another. Miss this playing in bands.

When I saw them two years ago, there was a lot of non-live percussion parts on the 80s songs like Pearl Necklace. (Also about a third of the vocals wasn't live at all...)

I saw em' for the first time on 12-27-1981 in Dallas,Texas at The Wintergarden.No opening act,two shows that night.The next day they were at Billy Bob's Texas,Fort Worth.I would have loved to seen them there.I have seen them a total of six times.My favorite American band, only Led Zeppelin can top them.No pun intended.

When I saw this tour I remember during one song they made it look like one of the lighting guys fell from the rafters and dropped his lighting rig on to the stage...but of course it was just part of the show..haa, but it freaked us out! Has anyone seen a vid of that...?? thx!
