I might be the only one with this opinion but Anby is clearly scanning the area and she pans from left to right, slightly above ground level, and the moment she looks to the right coincides with where the camera pan is.

All of them do on the first combat of a level. If you enter combat again in the same level you won't get the intro sequence.

@@HungNguyen-yn7zj Probably in photo mode, but its not usual in games other than photo mode for characters to look at player imo. Here there isnt even option to manually set characters to look at you i believe.
