When he stopped playing his own leads I stopped watching the E -streeters. Just not the same intensity as seen here.

My first show, Largo, Maryland, 1978. That's where I got on the bus for Bruce! Here you see why: three hours of manic energy and the greatest songs ever.

I was at Northwestern for his '78 tour, at McGall hall. I ended up bringing my little sis. Couldn't talk any friends into going. Needless to say, they're still in psychotherapy 2x a week on account of not going!!! Also saw him in '80 at the Uptown theatre in Chicago. If those two concerts were the only ones I could see in my lifetime, I'd be MORE than content

Oh boy...I was there. NO ONE put on a show like that. Electric. He played for forever, say good night, then come back out, turn up the lights and play covers for another hour. Unbelievable.

It was after finishing this tour that Bruce suffered his first case of major clinical depression resulting in him beginning therapy and taking meds.

when i was a little kid we were over at my parents' friends' place and their older daughter had a copy of the Born To Run LP leaning against the stereo in the living room. i laid on the floor staring at the cover while the adults sat around talking. i had no idea who bruce springsteen or clarence clemons were but everything about that LP cover fascinated me, right down to the wood grain of the Telecaster

I am a retired Recon Marine, I came home a confused man from a war I didn’t understand. Bruce’s music spoke to me and got me through the tough times, he pretty much saved my life. I have seen him 38 times, there is no better live performer. Period.

Toliko mi se ovo svidja, da neznam šta da napiše.Šta god pisala bilo bi premalo i za klavir, za gitaristu za njegov glas, za muziku iza kompletno muzičko delo.
