I'll always remember how some chatter told me how bad Metroid Prime is in the middle of a Metroid Dread speedrun. I was just done with the run, why'd you do that anyways?? He came back a few times, but another day, he started ranting about how bad Hollow Knight is and how cringe it looks. Unprompted. I don't understand the reason to go to someone's stream and shit-talk videogames. No matter your age, if you don't enjoy it, don't consume it. Why would you look up streams of video games you hate? Or watch youtube videos of channels or about topics you dislike?

Know what's crazy? Just 50 years ago, a huge percentage of 19 year olds were married, waiting on child #2, and working on their careers. What a time to be alive.

So awesome watching my favorite SM streamers race the Any%. Seeing Oats run Any% for the first time in almost a year makes me feel something in my plums. Killer run, Oats. hitting a 42 with some added safety grabs is insane.

I recently started playing SM again on my switch after 25 years with my 4 year old son watching and asking non-stop questions. We watched this run together tonight and y'all blew his mind! Some highlight questions: "why don't they have to fight all the mini-bosses?" "Why can't you kill Kraid that fast?" "How come it takes you so long to get to Mother Brain?" Great runs you guys! Love seeing these runs, you make it look easy, but I know there's literally thousands of hours of grinding that went into it.

Finally got time to watch this. Incredible race by all the runners. Oats just executing non stop. Donation goals hit. 70,000$ raised by the kill/save animals battle. This GDQ segment was incredible to watch.

The short charge save at the end during the escape to fly up the shaft as the lava was rising was incredible.

Such a great race... The highlight of GDQ for sure.

Can we appreciate the fact Oats did a 3 JUMP stashio baby skip like it was nothing? In a 4 way race during a marathon? Even though every other runner played it much safer yet struggled with it. And this is a hunch but I'd say Oats risked it because he knew that if he failed the trick the race would pick right back up as the other runners would surely get closer and it would make for a better show to the audience. In any case, truly he is the Goat.
