I have a question, does the interviewer always focus on the period of the current employment? even though I have traveled to other countries and I came back home to my home country and my bank statement is also sufficient. I got rejected a few months ago and the officer only focused on asking me how long I'd been working in my current company. Could you please advise? Thank you.

Very informative. I went through all that you mentioned. I believed I was just asked 2-3 questions and was successful. Maybe because I traveled twice as a J-1 prior to my B-Visa, and I was still I. University at the time.

Generally speaking, only the applicant may attend the visa interview. However, there may be a special accommodation if your husband needs assistance. We suggest you reach out to the Embassy or Consulate where he plans to interview to see if this might be possible.

Lie is biggest mistake. I really liked this KZfaq channel and I could easily cracked C1D Visa where I maintained honesty during interview. I had prepared DS160 . A young lady officer asked me absolutely relevant questions without prejudice and she was satisfied.

It has happened to me as well during C1D Visa interview. She called another officer and saw my 25 years experience and looked into my letter of employment carefully. Immediately asked about my family and approved the visa. Its a great tip to cool the nerves during pause moment.

If you read my comment, i will appreciate your answer for comforting me. I'm doing Eb3 Unskilled Workers visa but someone told me that type of visa can be rejected in the US embassy like F1 or B1 .. etc! So imagine waiting around 3-4 years then get rejected!

Hey Travis, Mandi and I had a session last month and we discussed my previous denial. I was super confident for my next interview which happened last week. However, my first question was VO: "Why masters now?" Me: It's integral to the work that I do, I am a... she cut me off by a second question, VO: Where did you do your undergraduate? Me: I mentioned my former university. VO: How much is your salary? Me: I mentioned and immediately she said I did not qualify. I did not get a chance to present what Mandi and I discussed, especially after she cut me off at question one before I could even say anything.😢 I even had a scholarship and a grant. What may have happened? I'm so heartbroken.

Hi Juddy, I'm so sorry to hear about the visa denial. It sounds like you had bad luck, and this officer was grumpy. It doesn't seem like this visa denial was about you. I would highly recommend you interview again, and still use the same techniques we practiced. There is always an element of luck in this process-- some officers we worked with had a tendency to just deny everyone, others were much more patient and willing to listen. Don't give up! Thanks Travis for reaching out. Is it okay to apply for Spring 2025 or wait till Fall 2025 considering that I'm a non-traditional student having worked for sometime, and in my late 30s? Won't it also look terrible going for a third time( after 2 refusals, first one was 2 years ago)? Now that I have attained a Master degree (which is a prerequisite to the course I was going for), should I just try get a PHD admission ( I realized I qualify for the same course at PHD level) before going back to the embassy? I'm super confused. Thanks.

Hello, do you know if EB-3 agencies are legal? I got a contract that says they are not a law firm, they are independent consultants. But in the USCIS website they say that only attorneys or other licensed people can do this job, also they are charging 23.5k USD to do this, but my understanding is that the EB-3 is free of charge to the employee and the employer is responsible for the costs, am I wrong? Should I send this contract to DHS or other entity? Thank you.

Hi Mandy, a question has been bothering me and my family. Your advice will be highly appreciated! My nephew, 15 years old, is planning to attend high school in the US later this year. He was denied the visa in July, possibly because he filled out the DS160 indicating he will stay with me in the US. I live in the US and have green card by the way. He will schedule another interview likely in October. Does he have to tell the VO that he will stay with a host family? Most visa consultants told us that having family/relatives in the US is a red flag in the visa officer’s mind, and indicating staying with a relative while studying in the US is definitely a big no no. Is that true? My nephew’s family can’t afford private boarding high school. Please help!!Thanks in advance!

Sir, I'm an indian..completed my bachelor degree in 2017 and i worked 2 years in the same field in India.. In 2019 i came to italy for my master degree.. Unfortunately i could not able to complete my degree in italy.. At the same time i got a full time job in different field.. Still I'm doing that.. Sir my question is.. Is it possible for me to do master degree in USA?..any chance for getting visa?.. Mainly I'm facing difficulties without a master degree here.. That's why i thought that i go to study..
