Fine setup buddy. I’ve gone down to an 8.25 to from 8.5s and 8.625s to try out a Ben Degros inspired Krooked Easy Rider. Good deck but a little too short for me I feel. Also went back from Ventures to Thunder Hollow Lights and feeling alrite even though I’ll go back to the Ventures again I feel. Classic 52mm Spit 99As.

@@Damoforce I don’t know that they’re that special. Probably just the Real 8.25 which is Ben’s own shape. My Krooked feels real nice though still but I think it’s just a standard Krooked 8.25 but pressed in the Easy Rider mold.

I don't think of myself as a board slide guy because I don't do them at my park at all really. However, when I travel I tend to hit a flat bar. I did take my flat bar to my park one day and go all in on Frontside boardslide. I believe it took me 79 tries to get the first one. I got 3 that day, but haven't done them again. I was hyped though. Kick forward more like an Ollie. You don't need to kick to the side very much if your foot is turned. But just keep doing it. You just gotta keep trying until it feels right. You'll feel something on one random try and go "oh shit, that felt right" and you'll have it that day.
@dolphinitely_bro3944

This is what my kickflips tend to do also, i notice (in my case) kind of looks like it in your case also, but our weight becomes off balance, looks like your weight is too far toe side and leaning a bit much on your flicking foot. My best kickflips (for me) is when i can feel my weight is slightly distributed ever so slighlty on my back foot(pop foot) and more center balance while making the jump

getting comfortable going faster and doing longer powerslides (and mastering them) will help (preferably on not too steep downhill grades or on surfaces that allow you to ride that powerslide longer)- yah you don't have a rail underneath you, but you still need to master that interplay between leaning too far backwards or forwards while your wheels slide (not to mention your body is in the same position as a rail slide while power sliding)- the same physics can apply to the board slide with slight variation due to having to account for balancing on a rail- (and you dont have to force the wheels into a slide)

1.Bring your back in a bit to get a more stable pop in your stance cause you look a tad wobbly 2. Note this!! KEEP YOUR SHOULDERS STRAIGHT this will ruin any kickflip even I struggle with this lol 3. Once you get the flick off the board make you slightly extended and lift that front foot giving your back foot less room for error whilst catching and rolling away
@death_falls5963

Other thing I always did was practice pop shuv it’s then it got me always looking ahead and at the board if that makes sense lol probably not hopefully though
