How the hell am I supposed to remove that clamp down there. I tried various tools, but can't even align it on the clamp, because its in such an angle that there is no room to turn my Tool around. So I have to order this special clamp remover it seems. Goddamn mercedes benz. Thank you for this helpful video!

Finally got around to doing this yesterday. Although I haven't really noticed anything to bad regarding performance I thought I'd give it a go. (seemed like something a weekend warrior could try). Was really surprised by how dirty it was and the valve actually looked like it was stuck open. I've seem a couple of different ones and given that this one is electronic I didn't push on it or try and get it to move. I got a lot of gunk out. Of course after doing this you pray that the Car starts and it did first go and at idle it is like chalk and cheese compared to before the maintenance. Really glab you took the time to show the Video. Am hitting the MAF Sensor next

At idling the fuel pressure initially was 55 psi but after revving the engine dropped to 50 psi to stay 50 psi at idling.With the engine switched off the system held the pressure at 50 psi. Is it normal? Thanks.

Great video, very detailed! Do you happen to know the exact bolt sizes for the power steering heat shield? My car had the heat shield missing for some reason so I found a replacement. I just need to know the bolt sizes now.

Just wanted to say you would want to DRAIN the tranmission first, take off the pan, clean the inside of the pan out, change the filter, reapply the pan, add 5L, turn on, shift through gears while draining 3L. Turn off car, add 3L, turn on car, drain, and repeat. The method in the beginning aint great

Hi, just used your video to get an idea of the reality of how the MAF is fitted (in a C200).... All content was very helpful, I knew removing the Pipe clip would have been a one-way-ticket, so I found an easier way..... Removing the oil Filter gives you a direct straight access to the bottom 3rd screw, feeling blind of course, but was totally possible. there is enough movement in the plastic manifold to slip the sensor out as well without removing the airbox. Replacing the screw I had to use some tape to stick it to the driver because I don't have magnetic tools..... We realised the sensor in already new so the fault must be somewhere else.... The ECU (large) connector is contaminated with oil (as you said to look for, I should have looked 1st, me idiot), I will have to get this cleaned out on Monday as I don't have a strong enough airline to blast out any cleaning agent/oil residue. Thanks again

Great video thanks. By accelerating the hose went out and the engine light shined. My car has no power. What could be the reason that by pressing the gas pedal the hose went out from the trothle body? Can anybody help? Thanks

I'm a very determined person! I always say who needs a man when you have youtube videos! just kidding don't send me nasty messages! getting back to my problem, I have a 05 c230 kompressor and i'm getting error code PO171 faulty air mass flow sensor, so after watching this and having all the tools on hand I'm going to attempt this myself so I will let you know how this goes! we women need your videos!

But your not really testing the injectors, your testing the fuel pump and how much pressure its giving in the fuel lines to the injectors, not the actual injectors 🤨🤔
@whlawson5812
@whlawson5812 Жыл бұрын
I think at least he did the test which confirms the fuel injectors are not leaking and fuel header pressure is still holding around 55 psi after switching off the fuel pump.😅

Hey, I just tried to reinstall with the hatch closed. I had a very low seat, and something about the angle I guess, but in 2 minutes I was done. Both kind of went on, positioning looked good, then a good solid press and snap, it's on.

Hello. Thanks for your excellent videos. I have a 2005 C230 coupe. Your videos have come in handy. I have a question. Did you ever smoke test for an intake vacuum leak when you were dealing with your mass airflow sensor? I’d like to perform a smoke test, but I’ve been looking for pointers on where to introduce the smoke and the best place to seal the air intake.

Buy a plug & display Lufi XF OBD2 to mount on your dashboard. For my 1.8 litre engine at 750rpm, air cond switched on the MAF at 4.6g/second, MAP at -7.35psi, throttle body valve position at 14.9% open, O2 sensor reading at 0.65 to 0.75v and many other parameters. I record occasionally, using a mounted handphone, the display of my OBD2 kept mounted on dashboard. I will only glanced at OBD2 occasionally. I could observe whenever the supercharger is boosting air pressure into the air intake manifold. Annually put in a car of fuel injector cleaner and top up gasoline to 90%.

Thanks. Great video. This helped me change that $12 (£10) hose and yes it had a split in it. Wish I'd bought the rear hose as well (mine was soft and collapsing) so I ended up doing the job twice!! I know you recommended it but I came to this video after I'd started the job. Would also recommend getting hold of a "Flexible Long Reach Locking Hose Clamp Removal Pliers with Ratchet Tool" to remove the air intake hose clamp. Makes a very awkward job so much easier. (Although I noticed you had a normal hose clamp). Thanks again. Brilliant.
