From what ive heard personally, the muffler and upward exaust causes it to carbon up, however if you are running the unit at 100% i dont think the upward exaust is an issue due to it being hot enough to vaporize the water.

Thank you for giving us a tour of this place! I will say that the green mountain national forest could learn a thing or two by looking at this. My daughter and I stayed at “campground about 2 and a half years ago in November and it was regular pay campground. You got a picnic table, outhouse and fire ring at each site. When we got there, there was trash everywhere, a fire still going a big black trash bag that had been ripped open by a large hairy animal 😬, beer cans everywhere and dog shit everywhere! The picnic tables had been axed apart for firewood and basically it had been used as some kind of drunken experience for a bunch of folks. The white mtn national forest is definitely a lot smarter in how they manage the masses….. no picnic tables, no outhouses and no water! That’s a GREAT population controller in and of itself. The whole no table or outhouse is great! No water! That’s awesome! That will definitely weed some folks out you wouldn’t want to camp next too! I’m a recovering alcoholic and have been camping at blackberry crossing and another one similar in the whites and we were definitely the loud drunk group. I feel really bad about that but I go into these campgrounds knowing that’s a possibility. If I carcamp with my daughters, I only stay at Vermont state parks because they have more oversight. There’s a couple of parks that have too many sites for the staff and therefore things get a little nutty but for the most part they’re pretty awesome. And what a beautiful time to be out there!! October!! Thanks again!! NQU

Your a first class Moron- You know nothing absolutely nothing about diesel heaters, as everyone can tell by your worthless skinny board that you have screwed the diesel heater to and the 180% bend you have in the exhaust pipe right as it comes out of the heater. Millions of us normal intelligent people have and use these diesel heaters for long periods of time without any issue. You are just not capable go back home to you dirty little APT and give up you ugly camp site in the waste land or old dump you are attempting to camp on. The fact the your women is a miserable kun- does not make the diesel heater a piece of crap it makes you a piece of crap

I just received my Maxspeedingrods heater. It is the short rectangular, more truly portable unit. I have not yet used it in my tent. However, I have ran it twice with no issues. No smell....granted, I probably have not run it long enough. The fuel cap on the Max is flawless. It tightens up nicely and they advertise that it does not leak. I took it out camping last weekend but ended up not needing it. It did not get cold enough. I transported it on the back floor of my p/u and had zero issues with leakage. Their unit also comes with an upgraded hard fuel line. I paid $84 for it on Amazon and feel very comfortable recommending it. Also, the LCD panel unclips from the unit and has 8 feet or so of cable so it can be placed inside. It also comes with a remote and can be controlled by Bluetooth with their app. Pretty sweet deal. I also have a Mr. Heater Big Buddy but propane has its issues. One, it is expensive to operate. I run mine off of a 12# bottle. I can't imagine feeding the beast 1# bottles. The worst issue with propane is water. Like a miracle, 1# of propane creates 1.6 lbs of water in your tent. In perspective that equates to over 2 1/2 cups of water.

The fuel cap issues is really bad i agree but i am using my to heat like a mobile office (shipping container well isolated with it) and there is 0.0 smell as the heater is outside in a box and hot air comes in trough vents in a in plastic window and its 100% free of any smells (except wenn i spill diesel in the box).

I'm looking at this to run a diesel heater (I know that you're not a big fan of those heaters) You said you ran a heater off of it. No issue at start up with the dc port rated at 10 amp? I hear, other than the Jackerys, the portable solar generators 10 amp fail during start up. I could go with a smart battery box and a battery to use, but this is the best bang for the buck price wise.

As per your comment @5:22 on a $1200 Webasto off gassing and fuming when it is new I can confirm it is exactly the same. There is always a little bit of oil on the metal from the manufacturing processes that has to be burned off and yes it stinks. The fuel covers on these are not the highest quality but there are after market options. For $100 dollars vs $1200 dollars you have to take the good with the bad and upgrade and improve the short falling of a CDH. Hope you gave it chance and got to see the benefit of these little heaters.

My Vevor Bluetooth 8k is working great in our Canadian winters, I use it 3 times a week in my tent in below -20c. It does have its little things like a leaky cap but that’s easy to fix, it smells when new for 2 hours and then completely free of any smell. It has no CO, I test it regularly with a low ppm tester, my Buddy heater puts out 14 ppm. They are a great little heater especially for the price. Maybe you should try another one before making a video, if you get on the forums and learn about them more you mind have a different outcome,also if you knew anything about them you would know the exhaust has to be on a downward angle not pointing up

Fuel tanks have to have a vent. It's not a design flaw. I expect there's actually nothing wrong with it... gotta use to find that out

Always put a piece of plastic wrap of some kind under the fuel cap and screw it down tight while transporting those heaters. You woll find out the hard way the vent in the cap will leak fuel all over while traveling.

Thank you so much, after I got my Jeep lifted the steering wheel was off, I should have taken my Jeep back for them to make it straight, I'll do it myself thanks to your excellent video, but you're saying I should get a wheel alignment afterwards?
@dabblingoutdoors
@dabblingoutdoors Жыл бұрын
This method only straightens the steering wheel. If the wheels are not aligned properly, such as toe or camber, they will need to be adjusted properly. I’ve found local shops adjust to factory specs which a lifted jeep is no longer at. I only received a proper alignment after installing a lift when I brought it to a shop that only works on modified Jeeps ( and now broncos).
