Fantastic work! I have been trying for hours to get arch to work with hyprland on my RTX 4060 and I tried a lot of things that are on the wiki. Eventually none of them worked and I did a complete wipe and followed your tutorial completely and now it works beautifully. It looks amazing and I'm really hyped for getting to use it :)

TIP: you can connect wifi with less steps if you type (iwctl --passphrase "wi-fi passw" station wlan0 connect "wi-fi name") i use it every time now.

My 64gb RAM just arrived..wish me luck 😬😬 Update: Installed and confirmed working. I think my touchpad may have moved about 0.5mm no issue. because my laptop did slide when using guitar pick to remove cover, so make sure its completly stable. Thank you so much for this video...so much easier than i thought.

Greetings from Venezuela, great video, I use i3wm but I am going to try Hyprland right now, I have a question: is there a way to autohide or hide the bar? I love keeping it hidden and call it by pressing a button, I don.t like anything on desktop just the picture in it, but autohide would be good for me, and another question : is it compatible with a changing wallpaper script using feh?

When installing the new ssd did you have to format it and assign it a drive letter? Or did it automatically assign one a work good with no extra steps?

When you boot up your laptop, go into Disk Management, and you’ll be notified that a new drive was detected :)

Reddit helped me. If someone has this issue then do the next: Change this device:epic mouse V1 { sensitivity = -0.5 } Into this device { name = epic-mouse-v1 sensitivity = -0.5 } Hope, it helps

Sol, awesome video. I particularly appreciated how you've used freeware for all of this and stepped through using it - some of the apps look Linux based so make me a bit nervous to take a crack at witn my exclusively Windows background, but once you use them, it' pretty clear they're just utilities and not scary.

Hey i need a little help, after rebooting into hyprland for the first time i get a config error, and my screen is pretty zoomed in, do you know where to change my resolution or screen scale? Really nice, thanks a lot for this, never been easier to get a WM setup going in Arch. Just as a small heads up, the clock icon cannot be inside the replacement field and be before the first "%", you now need move it outside of the replacement field. The solution would look like this " {:%I:%M %p %a, %b %e}". It can be found in /waybar /config.jsonc, under "clock". Not sue if the repo is still maintained but I have also opened a pull request (PR 17) in the repo, to resolve this.

for the issue with blackscreen after login, in case you are using virtualbox, enable 3d acceleration and maximize VRAM, that fixed the issue in my case
