It wasn’t, no. You do an enhanced inspection, a mechanic signs off on the build - and then the paperwork is filed for a “specialty constructed vehicle”. That’s it.

If your time is worth anything, Henry Ford was right; building one car at a time is highly inefficient. I built the first twin turbo Ultimate GTR. $332,000 in parts and a solid year of my time.

25 minutes of labor @ 100 per hr =$ 25 bucks .. I take of them..

Just to point out a minor flaw in your math - 25x$100 is $2500, not $25

When you get the car titled, does it not need a vin #?, or did it come with a vin #?
@alexmak1Ай бұрын
It does have a sort of VIN on a frame and in the papers. I believe, depending on a state, they may or may not use that as a VIN when registering a car

What's the resale value ?.. Thats the key.. Sell it for 60k and you can start on a GT 40
@alexmak14 ай бұрын
Resale value is a tricky thing. There are plenty of bad builds out there that often drive price and perception down for good builds. I’d say these lots don’t have collectors value anyway, so to make the amount spent back is close to impossible

@alexmak14 ай бұрын
Thank you! I am 6ft, and we went with the original FFR seats. We have added headrests from 2000 Audi A4 for safety, but other than that - it's the FFR seats. I wanted a more old school look, so did not want to have high back racing seats

Alex: Thank you for taking time to post this video. I am about 1/2 way finished with a Daytona Coupe; I have a go-kart. Next task is to install the body. I agree that the FF manual is a good starting point, but there are a lot of things that are left to the builder to figure out. Lots of frustrations, but lots of good memories of working with friends to get this project to the finish line. After a 4 month winter break with no work being performed on the project, I'll look forward to starting the body work come April 24. My target finish date is July '24.

the frame is weaker than on a motorcycle. I wouldn't want to have an accident with this car..
@alexmak16 ай бұрын
I'm sure your opinion is based on the material research and testing, not just a desire to post some letters online. and no, you are wrong, of course - there are plenty of examples of roadsters being in an accident and showing the strength of a frame.

Its still a fake car , worthless
@alexmak16 ай бұрын
What’s worthless is your comment here. Also very idiotic. The car is real. Is it an original cobra? No, but it also doesn’t claim to be one. “Replica” is stated in the title.

Really hope someday they will start ship them over here in EU.. are plenty people interested to get such vehicles over here.. good luck with your service appointments to go well and when you can maybe after 3-5-10 years do more up-dates on it..
