Fists are the chains of hades, except worse with an over abundance of mobility. If you win a gun fight against a guy with fists it’s because THEY messed up, not because you outplayed them.

Initially, Chapter 5 Season 3 was a 10 out of 10, now that all the fun has been nerfed into the ground. Now capital 5 season 3 is on 1 of 10

I think if epic made a mode where you can turn cars completely off or turn off car mods specifically then they would be more likely to retain players who hate this car meta. Similar to zero build vs builds, they would simply turn off certain functionality. I think this would help keep players who are sick of the cars, and at least give them something to do until it's over.

Now the rats are back, hiding in a bush and throwing a boogie bomb at you, getting a gatekeeper poked in the ear while you dance like crazy and can't do anything and boom boom boom you are dead, that's what the game is about now and it's the fault of sweats and pro players because it won't adapt and only play "I can stand here in a box and edit with macro and maybe once in a while shoot games" they also cry and complain to Epic and Epic gives in and once again the game has been broken and all the fun has been nerfed to the ground Again Toby you are the only (sweat) and content creator that I respect because you adapt and don't cry when you get resistance, thanks for that and for being so cool.

Make nitro fists impossible to find like the snipers in the last season

It's more than the cars making this season bad. It's the balancing and programming also. As well as the skill based matchmaking.

I've quit playing almost completely since they unvaulted the boogie bombs. The game is spammy enough as it is with spammy op items and the boogie bombs took it over the top for me.

I always get out of my vehicle when i see other players that are on foot to engage in what i deem a 'fair gun fight'...too bad,not everyone feels the same.

This season on launch was like a 3 ... now its like 5-6 And shield bubbles counter boogies btw... Boogies are a counter too cars ... they should of been in on launch so we could steal the mythic health regen cars... Solos are still awful, this season tho, this season def better in team modes... Boogies are goofy and iconic to fortnite... but being able to hold 10 in one slot is too much, and they should be harder to find ... Knowing epic tho they probably gonna add 3 new npcs and 2 will sell boogie bombs They should add back clingers as a counter to cars, or the sticky grenade launcher as well, air strikes, junk rifts, stink bombs, rift to go, or how about armor piercing rounds modification to deal extra dmg the structures or cars.. The tri beam laser rifle does do good dmg to cars, it was a good addition imo

I wasn’t a fan of the season at first, but learned that I didn’t need a car for most of the game. Took me awhile to get sorted, but I’ve been enjoying it a ton lately. Honestly, it’s probably my favorite season so far in chapter 5. I like that snipers aren’t in the meta, so moving around on foot is a bit easier.

honestly, i enjoyed it through and through, but at first it was a bit rocky, but my main problem with fortnite isnt even this season, its the item shop and battle passes becuase like, this season will go, but fortnite has more problems than people abusing this or that mechanic the item shop should just have every skin available all the time and i would love for fortnite to rerelease old seasons with their battle passes, becuase realistically, alot of fortnite is cosmetics

I'm enjoying the cars. If you know how to play the game whatsoever then the cars shouldn't be a factor especially with the nerfs

I feel like Epic just needs to add more movement opportunities such as the ability to push away from structures into a slide, bunny hopping like in Apex Legends, and just another effective way to move around without a mobility item

I love this season but I can’t even lie about it…. the reload bugs…. Fists are fun but very annoying sometimes, getting ran over Is hilariously frustrating. Season is fun however they definitely have to change things for sure !

Played Fortnite solid for the last 2 years, I’ve stopped playing this season, really not liking it

Buddy’s been saying what I’ve been saying since the boogie bomb update. If the usage of cars is the entire point of the season, then I don’t understand why epic is slowly making them irrelevant. If I’m on foot, I should want to have a car but not be totally defenseless against one.

What I love about this season is the chaos of having 20 to 25 people in the smallest storm circles I ever seen. Before the nerve because the store circles are so small, the mythic cars and normal car is never really survive to the end so everybody eventually was on foot no matter what. I think what sucks The most is when you get to the to the final three teams and one team has like 26 boogie bombs between all the players. The most skilled or smartest players, don’t win with the boogie bombs in the loot pool.

Get rid of the cars and get back to how it was before... just using cars to get around the map. There should be a separate game for people who like the cars, just like there is for people who like to build... zero cars!

You would just have to be more selective with the load outs. Tough choices now.

honestly worst part of the season is the bugs. reload bug, dead slide, nitro fall damage bug, and now screen shake bug. these make the game almost unplayable. i been killed by the reload bug too many times to count

1 take away the insta heal boxes for cars and let the car healplates take more time = problem fixed

why is MF_Buddy defending cars at all they aren't in tournaments they can go to hell

Let's dispel the notion that Epic didn't know what they were doing when they vaulted and deleted EMPs an update before the car season, they knew exactly what they were doing.

Today i got so many +30 elim squad wins that i lost count with randoms 😂 whered the sweats go? 10/10 season just because im not losing to pc players abusing their advantage. Boogies arent the biggest deal if you are proactive (helps that pc sweats arent in the lobby), on the rare case someone hops in my car, ill hop out, shoot in the window, hop in, fake drive away, hop out, shoot again, hop, in, hop right back out and finish them. If they get the driver seat on a car that cant shoot the driver, ill shoot out the car asap and make sure to be reloaded to win the 1v1. The level of chaos is fun 😂

Great conversation and perspective. So much to say about this season. I'm having an absolute blast with it but at the same time frustrated with Epic's decisions. Glad they got creative with something we haven't seen in the game before with a car meta but wish we had the original meta for more than six days. I'm also enjoying the chaos coming from season 2 which felt stale

I can't think of anyone I had a more opposite view to me on the start of this season than MF_Buddy. It was a crazy first week, but thankfully it didn't take long for Epic to do something. 2 balance updates in now and things are really fun.

Omg just read all the comments. Now I don’t know what to really think because everyone have different views that make sense, for the most part. I guess it’s hard to cater for everyone aye. Almost all of my lobbies are still won with cars on none ranked matches and almost no boogie bombs are used, even if i try and use them i then need to give up a weapon or health slot i need for the end game... ive had three games just today where the final guy wins with out using any weapons just the car. Even in none ranked matches you're still matched with comparable people in skill If you guys are absolutely super cracked then you'll be pared with equally cracked people if you are like me with sight and joint issues you get steam rolled by the cars and there is nothing you can do about it. I personally hate the cars, it should be optional to have cars in teh game. "Do you want mad max? Cool here is cars!" "do you want normal fortnite? Cool! Here is no cars!"

I am an old school camper. So I dig everyone focusing on cars. Take the heat off me until the end. One thing you both said is that you prefer the game to be more competitive and I heard Ninja say that as well. Doesn't that just show that even you need to adjust the skills to each season? Just because you aren't instantly the man, doesn't mean it sucks. That is such a negative mentality. The game does feel kinda new and different, but that is way better than the same map over and over and over. Enjoyed the video, and the new podcast is fun to listen on my commute.

I’m about to quit playing bc no matter how much I practice I don’t win consistently. It seems like the only way to have fun with this game is if you have been playing since it came out and are a tier I sweat. People say skill based matchmaking works, if that’s the case, why is a trash player like me dying to cracked streamers? Like, why are they in my lobbies, if I’m not good at the game?

People cried the water bending wasn't strong, they made it king, the cried, then it was weaker than at its introduction. Now with cars they made them fun, people cried they didn't want to adapt, and they made it a race to the boogie bombs and gloves.

Its a combination of things. We switched too hard from an on foot game to a vehicle game and if you tried to stay on foot you simply died to someone in a car. It forced everyone into cars and it was a harsh transition. Personally, I dislike the battlepass. None of the characters are as interesting as the greek gods from last seaon and the rainbow hyena lady just screams toxic feminism and should not have been included in a kids game. I have never played fallout so the power suit isnt that exciting... if the battle pass is so underwhelming, why grind the levels? Maybe if the super styles are really good, but even then, the base skins aren't that cool.

They should replace the boogie bombs with EMP grenades. Also nerf the nitro fists. To go even further, get rid of the turrets and grenade launchers car mods.

The jump and landing is also very crucial,practicing the jump,gliding and landing is also very important..I've found if you can land the fastest usually can get a advantage on other players

Fortnite is dead. The new guy has absolutely ruined it with stupid ideas, utter incompetence and total disregard for the player base. It’s now for eight-year olds who like melee weapons and winning without any skill. The increase in OP weapons just makes it boring because there is no good combat just instant kills for whoever gets first shot.

The boogies were an absolutely awful idea and the fists need a damage nerf and the cars create an insane amount of teaming weather its intentional or not its happening way to much

I'm still not enjoying the season, I keep trying and but it's very frustrating to me. I'm a casual gamer, I have time for about two games and that's probably why it takes so long for me to get used to the changing meta. Or maybe I am just getting burn out, I didn't like the end of last season with the waterbending, now it's nitro fists and boogies... just not my kind of game anymore for a while 😞

After being killed 3 time in the row by boogie in early games yesterday, I just though "well that's just not fun, no point keep playing". I was having more fun trying challenging cars on foot without boogie before. I'll just wait they remove it to play again personally, can't last long...

What if instead of putting EMP grenades in the game, they make an EMP honker vehicle pickup that works similar to the warbus' but has a slightly smaller radius? I feel like that could work as it would allow players who don't really want to use vehicles for combat to use them as they would before(a mobile Port-A-Bunker), but still have a tool for an advantage. As for the bugs, I've not only been dealing with the reload bug, but I've also had a weird screen twitch bug and whenever I drive a car, for some reason, I have to back up a random number of times before I can actually drive forward. Keep in mind, I'm a controller player and am not sure if this happens on M&K, but it's annoying nonetheless

💯% facts all of this, I have thousands of wins and been saying felt more balanced beginning of the season compared to now mainly because of boogies. The common nitro fist attack was nerfed and that’s okay the cooldown was not necessary. The MG turret nerf is an L esp with boogies in the game not even really useable, the GL attachment literally only gets -5 less dmg to players like what kinda nerf is that... I agree with buddy that emps should just disable vechiles or a reduced amount of shield dmg, 50 or lower not 80 and you hold 6. One thing I wanna note is the HP on vechiles for solos is a good fix, but no regen in squads etc and lower hp was TERRIBLE. Once we get the snipers with 3x dmg to vechiles/emps/ hijacking/crossbow doing more vechile dmg/tri-laser does lots of dmg to vehicles/boogies maybe staying lobbies will die even faster and no one will be using cars and this season will quite literally be wrecked. Late mid to late end games I don’t see vehicles anymore and makes the conclusion of games quite bland.

I somehow was waiting for this title. It's all a pattern from 90% of Fortnite players on social media. Next will be "How Epic Messed Up" and "This is the End of Fortnite"... Such a let down, brother Shenobi.

The floating grass is still killing me. They haven’t fixed it. What’s up with the floating items when you kill the tables and the floating gold and the skid 😂 marks.

I haven't played new season yet, it looks terrible ive been playing red & blue actually having fun. Something about spending 10 minutes looting up killing A.I and getting roasted by a tryhard in a car is unappealing
