Joseph is based on Joseph Kennedy who lobotomised his own daughter to stop making polemic around the Kennedys.

This is way deeper and a harder pill to swallow than "nothing matters" like lmao have you ever considered the reason you value nothing is because you're afraid to receive hatred for standing up for what you care about?

I agree with everything you said here and relate most with Diane on the show. That said, I need to give a defense of PB for the Belle Room that doesn't drag Diane down. PB's character would have driven me nuts irl but during the new house construction he actively tried to gain input from her multiple times and she kept deferring to him and skirting out of involvement. It was so telling of where they stood. You see this guy watching his marriage slip away and from his view his partner is just letting it go while he continues fighting. When it comes time to move in HE suggests taking the Hawaii causeway because he can't face being the only one pushing forward in the palace he built for them. The Belle Room was his last ditch effort to make it both of theirs. Even though even he probably knew he would screw it up I respect that he tried to make the house hers when she wouldn't. But when she calls him out he barely even fights that the gesture was right. It was purely frustration that she never engaged in the process. I totally understand why it was the last straw for Diane but PB was done right there with her. The marriage was just cooked. Guy had to fight the same impulses when he gave her the coat but he had the right tools to help Diane through her fears of accepting her worth.

Can’t believe Rick had the balls to critique Jerry in that episode when he uses science has a way to cope with the death of his old wife and has spent years hunting Rick prime he use to be a normal guy that didn’t care about science until Rick prime killed his wife and constantly goes on crazy andventures with Jerry’s own son he didn’t make Beth pity her you realize it was proven that Beth and Jerry couldn’t be without each other literally speaking of Beth she wasn’t able to leave to a safe planet in the galaxy because she was worried about losing Rick if that isn’t daddy issues I don’t know what is at least Jerry can own up to his mistakes as proved by the plutonium episode but Rick can’t even admit to mispronouncing a word

11:20 Tbh you didn’t do justice to this event, in 4 years 25% of the Cambodian population was killed, but not just like that: anyone who was vietnamese, european, supported the old government, wore glasses (basically everyone but not smart farmers) was killed. Their babies would also be thrown into trees and killed to avoid them getting revenge as adults. This was so bad that Vietnam, another communist country, did something about it and invaded the country, when the troops arrived Cambodia they were expecting some fighting, but the nation was in terrible conditions, to the point that even the local population saw them as heroes. Just disgusting

I didnt click off the video when you revealed your political leaning. Through life experience, I have come to realize we can't all be on the correct side and thats okay. You still make good videos in spite of it lol. Seriously I liked learning about the random topics your videos bring up, especially the "in defence" videos. Can't wait for the next one.

I relate to her a lot, so I hate when people blame Bojack for her end. She was seeking it. She hoped to have an easier way out than clawing and crawling into an actually better place, and just like I've stopped drinking and smoking to "reset", she ended up realizing there is no reset. The want to do drugs never ends, bc you started doing them to escape something so big no one can truly take a hold of it. Same with the horse counselor/sponsor Bojack had. He knew better. He still kept drinking because life just isn't good for him even if he stops and alcohol drowns that feeling into something manageable and you can keep getting the satisfaction from being self aware without the CONSTANT work. I envy people who drink "purely" for fun but I also know many of them just restrict to weekends to keep control while I can't bring myself to believe I am in control. I'll always have to work. I can't stop dancing bc the alternative is getting absed in a homeless shelter, in the streets, God knows what and I can barely handle consensual relations idk what I'll do if they're not. I'll always have to struggle and suffer bc the people I love aren't doing perfectly good either, and sometimes what I do isn't actually good enough for them, so I've been left behind or straight up told I'm useless and drag people down. I think I will eventually get diagnosed with the neurodivergency I know I have, but I cry just thinking how hard it is to convince someone I'm crazy AND different. I don't want to be special but I'm done thinking effort is all it takes to change. Sometimes you try and it's not good enough and knowing that is part of winning the battle. But for now I'm a loser. A living loser.

Honestly Joseph is not even a bad person at all, he loves his family a lot. He only lobotomized Honey because then people really believed that it worked… he yelled at honey not for grieving, but for almost killing Beatrice. He didn’t burn Beatrice’s doll to torture her, he did it because the doll was infected. He didn’t try to get her married to the goat guy because he’s a cruel man who needs money, he wanted her to consider the goat guy because the goat guy is pretty chill. In short, he cared, but he was a man in the 40’s and had no idea that his methods of showing care were wrong

My problem with diane is not that she does bad things but how she doesn't get called out on a lot of things. She litterally wrote a scene on Philbert that was about the new mexico incident meaning that now penny thinks that bojack is telling everyone about new mexico and that bojack is telling the whole nation abot the new Mexico incident. She is never called out on this In the finale of the show, she gets even worse by getting mad at bojack for trying to kill himself. That is just simply fucked up and inexcusable behavior. As someone who struggles with suicide, i feel like this is the worst thing you could do to anyone Speaking of the library scene, this is not a good example of a big gesture. Its a library. A room that a lot of people have and is pretty normal. This is not what the breaking point for their relationship should have been. I dont even think its a good example of mr. Peanutbutter nit listening. A library is just simply, a kind gesture. The braking point should have been a party held in the library or something not just the existence of it. I dont hate diane but i hate how the show doesn't call her out

Great video, but I also honestly think a HUGE PORTION of Diane hate is just misogyny. She’s a flawed woman who makes horrible mistakes and can be perceived as “annoying.” She’s a great character, but historically audiences just can’t handle a woman who isn’t damn near perfect💀
@mirandam744710 күн бұрын
when Beatrice calls bojack she already has dementia you can see how her eyes are blue. Even though what she said was harsh, it’s hard to say what exactly she meant by that because her mind was already starting to deteriorate.
