Thanks for the video. 8:41 My 100 year old (WWII) neighbor passed away earlier this year. His son gave me his Electro 12 that was outside and hasn't run in years. His has the hydraulic lift. It's in pretty rough shape, but the engine is free. The "electro" means solid state ignition? It has a "modern" looking coil on it. I'm going to look into the engine oil (I didn't see a dipstick) and hydro ATF level before cleaning the carb, working on starting it. The 12v + starter leads to directly to the key switch, i'd like to install a solenoid.

Helpful video. I used a NICE 1635 bearing .75 id x 1.75 of x .5" on an Ariens 924028. I've seen some parts say 1.625 OD but I believe that is incorrect

I just picked up a Wheel Horse 502 missing the engine and steering components. The transmission, all the metal shields, hood, fenders, seat, etc are there, but no engine or steering linkage. I was able to find some steering linkage parts on e-bay. Planning on putting one of those little single cylinder diesel engines on mine... What is the diameter of the steering wheel? I'm looking for an aftermarket wheel and wondering what the stock steering wheel diameter was...

17:12 I didn’t look thru all the comments, but at the noted time, when you released the auger lever it took quite a bit of time to stop spinning. Ideal time is less than 2 seconds. There is an auger brake in there and a procedure in the manual for adjusting the auger linkage/brake system to both provide both good activation and stoppage when the lever is released, if you’re interested.

Hey i got a question for you do you still have that tractor and if you do what's the serial number? I currently own the 10th T10 built and am trying to see if I can see if I can find the 11th one or 9th one or possibly how many were made.

I've got a really ugly Toro 2-cycle Commercial Mower. It was used by a Landscaping Company for 20 years. It was given to me as the Lady that owned it, left it outside for years. I got it running good but the metal gas tank is just full of rust. Someone took the Model number tag off so I have no idea what model I have?

Hi do you still own this tractor? I was watching your video and at 3:15 into the video it shows the engine with two lines. The lower one is the gas line and other is a line above it connects to the air intake and goes around the back of the engine and down into the frame and goes somewhere. Do you know where this vacuum line actually goes? Mine fell off and I have no idea where it actually goes or potentially connect to. Any help would be greatly appreciated . !!!!!!!!!!

The thing I like most about that Ariens design is it's easy to modify a generic pulley to fit there and you can have an overdrive with very little work. :) I put a 50% overdrive on my old blower and it really threw the snow after that, lol.

The width is kind of an oddball thing on the 1390 Simplicity. The naming convention is normally horsepower then width; the 1060 is 10hp and 60cm wide (24 inches), the 1170 is 11hp and 70cm wide (28 inches), the 1280 is 12hp and 80cm wide (32 inches), but the 1390 is 13hp and 97cm wide (38~39 inches). Either way, it's pretty wide. I think they went back to inches on the next revision.

Nice find. I was laughing at your comment(now I remember why I stopped doing KZfaq) as the bracket dropped. I felt the same way. Been working on a bunch of thees Tecumseh engines. I have good luck with the 15$ eBay carbs. Seems like almost everyone I’ve worked on these days has needed valve jobs. Exhaust valves just take a hammering.
